with his knee clearly bothering him and now with francis back with the team (out of nowhere), i think steph's injury is pretty darn serious. do you guys think he's going to shut it down?
no - he'll play the entire season
yes - he won't make it to march

I think he should shut it down for a few games but not necessarily the entire season. He is going to be our starter for the next two years so I don't want him doing permanent damage to his knee. When Francis comes back, they should sit Marbury for five games or so and let Francis start.

stephs a warrior...the pain of the knee isnt bothering him, its the pain and realization that his "friend" isiah is messing up the team

Tendinitis is something you shut down completely or you suck it up and fight through until the off-season. My guess is he will fight through. When it gets really painful he will sit out, but I dont' think he's going to voluntarily shut it down unless the season is meaningless. He wants to help Isiah. but you could tell by the flatness of the shot that last night might have been one of those nights on a normal team where he would not have played
I just hope that people will like me

When the Knicks have a long losing streak and start falling out of sight of the playoffs, Isiah will shut Marbury down. Then he'll use Marbury's injury as an excuse for the losing streak that ended their playoff chances and for their losing record from that point on.

It's so comforting to know that when this young core starts to "get it" in 3-4 years (Isiah's words, not mine), Marbury will be on the far downside of his career. Good thing they didn't draft Marcus Williams.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Steph has finally had some Starbury type shooting/scoring games- don't know that you shut it down- but if Francis can come off the bench- definitely limit his minutes to help keep him fresh.
is steph going to shut it down?
