I'd deal nearly anyone on Knicks, excluding Eddy Curry and David Lee to Sonics to get Ray Allen.
It would be a connecticut/MSG Garden homecoming for Clutch sharp shooting-stud. I know we need D'.

I know Mr Marbury been playing like the old Steph, and he can stay here too.
But I'd doubt Sonics would not want some of Knicks talent, and skilled guys.

If NY could pull of this excluding Eddy, Lee OR Steph so be it, But I am not sure about that.
All I am saying a Star like Ray Allen will give, NY some respectability to build on while still
keeping few young knicks to develop.

I'm sure Sonics would not want to deal Ray, but some of these teams who are not performing like
Sonics, 76ers, ect want to unload big $contract players. Ray is still in his prime and he is
not going to be your SG defensive stopper, but he's respected all around.

Allen may be one of them quiet stars in NBA who can be had for the right price, Since NY has no
$$$ or cap to plan for signing any NBA Stars. NY needs respect and their young players are slowing getting there and learning. However Knicks are one of few teams in league without a legit
Superstar.

Marbury is closest thing to a star and still on the comeback trail however you need a star to build
around. Ray Allen may be best option going into near future.

DJ's here!!!!!! I'd rather do a real rebuild but we know that won't happen. If you can get him without giving up Lee or Marbury or Curry, it's worthwhile.

It's not the talent they wouldn't want. It's the lousy contracts that they are afraid of.
I'll never trust this' team again.

We already have SG in Fry...
He can improve his jumper more and we will get 20+ from players who has 5-6" over any SG.
Ray is not better defender that Fry.

Hey DJ. Good to see you here.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

you give up le if they want him for Ray Allen. You can find a rebounder with limited offense. Finding a dead eye sharpshooter who can create his own shot is rare.

I think the Ray Allen/Curry tandem would be pretty tough to contend with. While I think Ray is getting up there in age, he really isn't showing it in his game because he's still putting up great numbers, even without a great supporting cast.

The good thing about an Allen trade is that it would consolidate our talent now and still allow Allen to drop off the cap in '10, which is when I think Lebron, Wade, and Anthony become available again. We, however, would be taking a big risk that Allen stays healthy and productive for the next 3 years. He has not shown any signs of slippage yet.

Nah bro. I would never give up D Lee in a trade for Ray Allen. He's not just a rebounder. He's about as good of a passing bigman as I've seen since CWebb, & that's not really an exaggeration IMO. He's also a very heady player & has good leadership intangibles, along w/running the fast break & being a terrific finisher on penetration & dish.

If you can get Ray for a package of Q Rich, Malik, Channing & Nate, I do it in a heartbeat, but no way do i include D Lee in any package unless we're getting back a legitimate franchise calibre talent.

Apparently DJ hasnt been following the Knicks. We have 3 stars. Marbury, Francis and the 'once in a generation' Eddy Curry.

Frye ? a Defender & Better ? rotfl
Frye with his 6 fouls can't even stay on the floor, cause he hasnt learned that end of the
floor the way he knows and excels on the offensive end.

Yep 3 stars in a 10 Star NBA rating. Guess we count these knicks as $Salaried star's even though Eddy Curry isnt making the dough the other 2 chaps are.

We need some end of game go to STAR or superstar with respect other than Jamaal Crawfish.
I like JC, however we got no bigshot bigtime consistent player who is going to make the
game easier on other knicks, especially in clutch situations or the end of games to be won.

Curry's progress had been good & I support Eddy. But he did not make AllStar game for a reason, so his work he needs to step it up a notch. Marbury is a good #2 on any team.
Steph cannot be a #1 leading star/superstar.

Agree 150% with TMS,
(howdy bro')

I'd do a deal for Ray Allen as long as D.Lee or Curry is excluded & you can also throw in Marbury to keep( a NYK)

However is Steph is playing well as he's shown and he is NY best skill player as I always said Sonics would not DEAL Ray Allen unless Steph or some quality came back to them.
Thats how I view it.

When I say make game easier its also on the defensive end of the game where that player can
make a pass or a play and doesnt always have to hit key jumpshot. JC I like but he is not in
Ray Allen's class.
