Using my advanced degree in quote deciphering, and the smarts I've gathered over the years, I'd judge by the subtle "Wade said" sandwiched in between quotes that a player who's last name is Wade said it?

Dwayne Wade has earned the right to lead whatever way he wants to because he's led winning teams through his short NBA career. Marbury has led nothing.

Precisely. Similar with Jeter, who might not say a whole lot in the locker room or blast his teammates, but is a tremendous leader nonetheless. The record speaks for itself.

So pretty much minus Shaq, Wade would be a not be same player even though he obvious feels it's not his job to make his team mates perform???? A peice of Bronze makes that right....... LOL, I know ya'll know the quote from Marbury about making his teammates play is not his job and I'm glad to see that it's not what is said, but who is saying it to certine people. Round the bush way of admitting it, but it works for me.

What are you talking about? Who has changed the standards. Dwayne Wade has earned the right to say whatever he wants because he's won a championship, been to Game 7 the Eastern Conf. Finals with Shaq hurting the year before that, and in his rookie year, without Shaq on the team yet, he lead his team to 2nd round of the playoffs.

Marbury's never even been out of the first round of the playoffs and keeps on making the same stupid comments day after day, he hasn't earned the right to call himself the best PG in the league, he hasn't earned the right to say ANYTHING about leadership becasue he isn't either one of those.
