How sad is it that we're halfway through the season and no one in this division has a winning record? Damn.
Anyhow, the Nets have been choking in the 4th an awful lot lately. But we do have to take care of ourselves before thinking about what the Raps and Nets are doing.

toronto won last night without tj ford and bargnani. and went 5-7 or 6-6 without bosh. they made 2 west coast trips already and are catching up on home games. and they're starting to put a little cushion on us (currently 3.5 games)
there are ALOT of games left and anything can happen - trade, injury, firings so it's still a little premature to be looking at other folks.
we are 8 games under .500 after 42 games. that's not good.

I have to admit I was wrong about Toronto. I think Toronto will win the division, now that the Nets are so shorthanded. They're going to become a power in the east soon enough.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The Charlie V/Ford trade was very good for them. A Ford/Bargani/Bosh combo with cap room and Colangelo is a GREAT position to be in.

I still hate that trade, and don't really like ford they should have just held onto their cap space and traded down, ford is a little overatted and injury prone
I like Foye/Bosh/Charlie V with cap space a lot more. And Foye will be twice the player that bosh is. Bosh needs to man up and play center.....

i watch a ton of raptors games and bargnani will be a better fit for them than charlie v. colangelo is trying to make a pheonix north and charlie has no spot there. foye is going to be good...but so is bargnani. i think charlie v is a little on the fugazy side.
tj ford is tough b/c he's such a good passer but a VERY poor shooter. and the problem is that he likes to shoot...alot. but they don't miss a beat when he's out b/c calderon is a damn good backup (probably the best in the league and may be able to start for a bunch of teams).
but what colangelo is doing is putting together a bunch of guys that know how to play basketball and TEAM basketball - that's why he went the international route for his roster. it's an interesting experiment. they lost on last second plays to the suns and dallas so they can compete. and he has a deadline of 2009 to get way under the cap. that's why all of his players are under contract for only 2-3 years.
that team doesn't play any defense but they know how to move the ball around, can shoot from the 3, and bosh is a real franchise guy. mitchell has them playing hard but they are going to get iavaroni in there next season.
