I thought the signing was Outer Space but now that Zeke is making a Mockery of the SAVIOR does anybody feel sorry for him? He seems like a nice guy and good teammate. I wonder what he does in practice that makes Zeke believe he's a Gamer?

I have a lot of sympathy for Jeffries. Isiah set him up big time by talking about how he's the missing piece, the glue, the savior and how things were going to get so much better when he was finally able to play. I'm sure the pressure on him is very high. Add the fact that Isiah is now throwing him under the bus, like an emperor feeding someone to the lions, by playing him 5 minutes a game.

He's probably doing exactly what he's done his entire career thus far. The problem is that now he's on a team where he's the only decent defender. He might do his job but it doesn't matter unless the team defense is effective.

I don't know what's up with the Jeff man. I never thought that he was a defensive savior and I definitely thought 30 mil was too much to pay. Yes Balkman can do what Jeffries does, prolly better but Isiah didn't know that before the season started. Hopefully Jeffries can find himself and give us 10 pts, 8 to 10 boards, 2 or 3 steals and a block or two.

yeah how was isiah supposed to know that the 20th pick in a weak draft would be able to outplay his MLE signing in his rookie year? well hopefully Jeffries can become useful on the court soon, becuase he's going to be here for 5 years .

also jeffries was never a good enough rebounder to get 8-10 a game. nor a good enough shotblocker to get 1 or 2 a game for that matter.

Isles you kill me. We all screamed for IT to sit Jeffries and play Balkman and now that he has, you want to say IT is throwing him under the bus because he is not playing him. IT is making the right decision for the team. Now I can agree that he built Jeffries up in the media, but I honestly think he thought Jeffires was the missing piece. I think most people here thought Jeffries would bring more than he has. Hopefully, Jeffries can work on his game this summer and come back strong next year.

game, thats just another example at what a poor talent evaluator Isiah is. Everyone touts his ability to see talent in guys, yet look at the veterans he trades for and the MLE guys he signs. I have no doubt Isiah thought JJ would be the glue you describe. Clearly the Wizards knew better and Isiah whiffed again.

My offensive game is twice his and he is making 5 million, yeah i feel terrible for a guy that has no ability or talent making that much money....

Like I said Isiah is a small man who put to much pressure on Jefferies return right away and made him out to be something he is not and compounded it by saying he is a ron artest type down the road after a big win against the hawks when they didn't have their 2/3 best players.....

FUCK YOU ISIAH!

He loves to try to prove he is smarter than everyone else which he is not, the knicks are going to be in the lottery for three years in a row and the knicks still have no promise going foward they will probably be there again and signings like jefferies are a big reason why.....

as an evaluator of young talent, he's demonstrated a good eye... as an evaluator of veteran talent & negotiator of trades & contracts, he's about as bad a GM as we've ever had.

He is not a good defender never gets low enough losses his man i don't know who he is watching, and Frye just sucks he is such a ***** its scary never asserts himself even when curry is out and is physically weak inside, move him for a wing asap.

Jason Richardon perhaps if he gets healthy

The guy is hustling. He's playing hard, he's just never going to be what Isiah made him out to be. Now with that added pressure he's struggling to be even who he was in Washington. Once again the "savior principal" in New York strikes again. Every player we add is touted as the "missing piece". Role players built around a mish mash crew are not going to make a difference in who we are. They may help us to win a few more games, but when you are a bad team, role players are not taking you to the next level.

We need to finally realize that Patrick is gone and build in NY. Get some young players that can grow together. Stop wasting roster spots and money on guys that are supposed to fill weaknesses. With our lack of balance we have too many weaknesses for any non star to turn us around. It's time to Build a team.

Jefferies was terrible in Washington geez Isiah did you even watch him play in Washington? Jefferies was basically about to become a total and complete bench player. The move Isiah should have made 2 seasons ago was trying to get Caron Butler from LA he didn't really come off a strong season with them and we had at least a few trading assets.

Unlike IT's other deals- I thought we paid just slightly more than the Wiz offered him. It wasn't like the Crawford or Curry deals where we were bidding against ourselves.

I still think Jeffries has game and needs to find his place.

Part of the problem might be balance- there might be only so many hustle plays on the court to be made and Lee is taking them all-

Isiah is as dumb as his players look at all three of his midlevel signings....

Baker: Showed a few flashes against the Nets so we signed him

JJ1: Had 4 good games all season and they were in a playoff series so we signed him

JJ2: Held Lebron too 3 game winners and 34pts but played great d in isiah eyes so we signed him

Talent Scout he sucks I don't care what anyone says, he can pick out a player that has skills, but winning skills are a different story

AND BIP, Isiah said don't judge us till Jefferies gets back he is the glue guy for this team, which is basically annointing him as the piece that will save the team on defense and add chemistry

Over the years I've gotten pretty good at just accepting players for who they are and not for what our GM's try to sell them to us as.

I watched Allan HOuston villified for years because mgt. sold him to us as a superstar. Never once did I expect him to be one. So I was never disappointed. Same here with Jeffries.
