You see the amount of success they have both had away from each other. Both there teams are serious contenders for a championship with them as the main cause of it. Makes you wonder how they didn't win a championship together.

Because Avery Johnson didn't coach them both and their Dallas team played no defense whatsoever.

Nash left right before they were both about to become full legit stars. Nash had been getting better and better each year as well as Dirk. Also, Nash's game probably works better with Marion than it does with Dirk.
