In hoopshype there is an article talking about Milicic being avaiable or maybe even Vasquez.

http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm Scroll down for it.

I say we go after both. Id offer Frye & our 2ndrd for Milicic and the rights to Vasquez.

The thing is Milicic is going to want an extention. And Vasquez might stay over seas for a few yrs. But I think its a good trade and a risky move that could pay off absolutly HUGE.

Then with our first rd pick from Chi we draft a strong outside shooter/2way player.

Don't sign anyone, unload contracts, just draft rebuild the backcourt to go along with Curry,Milicic,Vasques,Lee mabye even retrade Milicic for another piece in the future.

Orlando doesn't have a first rd pick this yr either. Since they gave it to Pistons for Milicic. Frye and that early 2ndrder I think they would really feel they could improve right away.

I think Milicic & Vasquez could give us a lot of athletism more shotblocking. More length and more flexability. Plus I think we are getting real good value. Since Vasquez was a lottery pick and could be good when he decides to come over.

Milicic is an absolute bust...What don't Detroit and Orlando know that the Knicks do...I would give up only the JJ's for this guy...

Vaz has 4 years on his contract in Span and intends to play it out. I'm not waiting on him.

I'd take Darko in a second though. He's one of the better shotblockers out there, not a bad rebounder and showed some offensive potential last year. I dunno what his deal is this year- his shooting % is way down.

BTW...we can't get both. Supposedly its one or the other- they are open to dealing Vazquez to get some help, but if they felt like Vazquez would come over, they'd deal Darko instead.

You guys would actually trade Frye for a player that has no intention of playing in the NBA and another player that cannot beat out Tony Battie for the starting spot on a team needing another PF to help Dwight Howard. IMO that is not the type of trade we need. I like Darko but I wonder why he is not working out in Orlando. Unless they are not playing him because they are trying to keep his value low, something must be wrong with the guy. I was expecting a breakout year, but he has not really shown any real improvement. Frye is a much better scorer even if he is not as good a rebounder and shot-blocker (Darko is by no means a defensive ace). Plus, Frye has two more rookie years on his contract. Don't see the point of overpaying for Darko and giving away Frye. I think Orlando would jump on that trade. Now if they give us Ariza back and take Jeffries, I might consider it because an Ariza/Balkman SF tandem would be pretty solid and we could get rid of Jeffries bad contract.

I'd send feelers for Milicic b/c of his blocking but that's it.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

we can get more for Frye than Darko. if they want to do Nate and Jefferies for Darko and cap fodder, I'm for it.

Maybe in a Darko deal we could wrestle away Redick to help our shooting woes...
