He's coming along well. The injuries to their team was a benefit to him. It forced Doc to focus on their youth. I like the fact he's 21 and with all his inconsistent playing time/injuries this season he's a bonafied double double guy.

He's becoming a beast on both ends of the court. He's way ahead of Eddy.

heres a little statistical break down of the last month between some young eastern conference centers (PS I'm not counting Okafor or Bosh cuz they are kind of PF... Also not counting Howard because we already know hes the best..)

-------------FG%----FT%----Pts-----REB----AST----STL----BLK---TO
Curry--------.652----.691----22.7----7.2-----0.8-----0.4----0.7---3.3
Dalembert----.546----.766----11.9----8.7-----0.8-----0.9----1.9---1.9
Jefferson-----.615----.429----9.5-----10.7----0.7-----1.1----1.4---1.2

strange that his team would be 4 games behind the Knicks in the standings then w/that beast on the floor for their team.

Curry shoots a much higher % & has better scoring #'s... offensively Curry is better than Jefferson... any unbiased observer can see that... defensively Jefferson is the better player, along w/being a better rebounder.

i think it's a close call, but Curry will probably get the nod over Jefferson unless Al gets his PPG total up to about 17 by the time the Allstar votes are tallied.

Al's a couple years younger. He's progressing faster than Curry did. But he's been streaky before.

come on, jefferson is not becomming a game changer. curry changes a game, teams change the way they defend the knicks with curry on the floor Yes his rebounding can be better as can his help defense, but there is no doubt, you have to game plan for curry. End of story...

It would be more interesting to see full season stats. I'm a fan of big sample sizes.

I didn't say he was a beast. I said he was *becoming* one. He's 21 and in his 3rd season and already averaging 14/10/1.5 blks.

Curry dominated Al this year in their 2 head to head meetings:

11/24:
Curry - 21 & 10 in 30 min.
Al - 4 & 8 in 18 min.

12/11:
Curry - 30, 12 & 2 in 44 min.
Al - 14, 12 & 4 in 31 min.

to say that Al is way ahead of Curry is quite simply, wrong.

David Lee's got a better case for making the All Star team than Big Al
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Al is better defensively and as a rebounder, but Curry is a much more dominant offensive player. I would rather have Curry and just put a defensive PF next to him.

Where did these stats come from? They don't seem accurate. Bogut and Jefferson have been particularly hot lately. Bogut's been dishing a lot of assists as of late. Jefferson's scored in single digits 2 times since December 15th. Please check the #s.

I looked a little funny at them too, but I gave Elite the benefit of the doubt. Good catch. These stats are not accurate. The to-date season stats are more relevant anyway:

Curry - 19.3 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 0.7 ast, 0.4 stl, 0.6 blks, 58% FG, 61% FT, 3.3 TO
Dalembert - 10.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 0.6 ast, 0.7 stl, 2.1 blks, 57% FG, 72% FT, 1.7 TO
Jefferson - 14.2 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 0.9 ast, 0.4 stl, 1.5 blks, 50% FG, 70% FT, 2.1 TO
Bogut - 12.5 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 3.1 ast, 0.8 stl, 0.6 blks, 57% FG, 63% FT, 2.4 TO
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Al IS way ahead of Curry in all phases of the game except scoring and at 21 he's not too far behind Curry there either (19 vs. 14 PPG).

that's kinda like saying Apple's way ahead of Microsoft in every area of technology except for computer hardware... bottomline is, Curry is the player that would rate as the better player at this point, regardless of how you feel about how weak Curry may be in certain areas of his game.

if the argument is that at comparable stages in their development, that Jefferson is ahead of Curry, then i will agree w/u there, but right now, Curry is the better player & holds more regard throughout the league & in value in trades imo.

I'm not even sure you're right but who cares what the rest of the league would think? They're often a step slow on the young kids who weren't drafted very high. (Bynum & Jefferson come to mind.)
