Will Miami lower themselves to doubling Curry? Ive only seen Shaq get double help once ever. I cant remember Zo needing double help on anyone since David Robinson went for 50 on him. Shaq and Zo are hall of famers. They are proud men. MY guess is they go 1 on 1. At least thats my hope. Curry hasnt gone a game without double teamss in over a month
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Doubling Curry has nothing to do with "lowering" themselves. It has to do with being smart and forcing the Knicks out of their comfort zone and forcing them to make other players make plays.

It also forces Curry to make passes out of the double team or risk offensive fouls and turnovers if he takes on the double teams. We all know how poorly he does this and so do other teams so it's to their advantage to double Curry. To suggest that it's "lowering" themselves to double shows how little you know about basketball.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

If you only had a clue. I played the game while you were buying your new pocket prtector and video game. Many people take their 1 on 1 defense as a challange and tell the coach no double help. Sprewell did that in 1999 vs Miami and Mashburn. Shaq doesnt want to be looked at like a guy that needs help defending his own position. Go blow your bf True Blue

It's kind of like asking if Mariano Rivera will "lower" himself to throwing cutters because he doesn't think he can get hitters out by throwing soft, flat pitches!

That's nice but you still don't know what you're talking about. The challenge is for the team to win the game. Doubling Curry for the reasons I mentioned is advantageous for Miami, especially if Marbury isn't 100%.

No its not. Thats a 1 on 1 battle regardless of what he throws. Shaq doesnt wnat to be told he isnt good enough to guard anyone straight up

Old enough to know I dont have to take uncalled for personal insults when making a basketball post. You have a problem with that? Move to Canada, lol. :)

You're being a little immature. Maybe take a day or two off from the board to cool down?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Probably so or maybe after many uncalled for personal comments I just said enough. :)

I don't think they double tohelpShaq or Zo. Thatis suppose tobe the strenght of their defense and if they don't stay at home in completely weakens their D.

I wouldlike to see curry go one on one tonight.

I lost faith in shaq when he took the money ( and the movies and the record deals and shoe deals) and fled orlando.

I remember(in the old days) when shaq was in the league 1-2 yrs, he stated he only had respect for olajawan(sp?) and not ewing or robinson. he said that hakeem played him 1-1 and the others always needed help. he thought the other teams lowered themselves, so ray does have a point.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate
Will Miami lower themselves to doubling Curry? Ive only seen Shaq get double help once ever.
