people have been criticizing curry about rebounding. however, we are the number 1 rebounding team in the east and number two in the nba. that is staggerring considering we were either in the middle or in the bottom ever since ewing left. plus our offense is in the top 5 in the east and 8th in the league. but our defense is in the bottom though.

I believe that has a lot more to do with David Lee than Eddy Curry

^^^ Don't believe that is the point. BUt I am sure somebody needed to know that the leading rebounder on the knicks and top ten in the league has the most to do with the total rebounding number.

I think Curry and Lee are either one of or the best rebounding Tandem in the NBA but Curry sucks. He should be cut. we will never be a winning team with Curry. Please give us Sweets back. Obviously Tryrus Thomas is the next KG.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

People keep excusing Curry's sucky rebounding b/c we as a team are great, but does that excuse Marbury for not getting 5 rebounds a game, or how about Jefferies for not getting 7.

Bottom line is Curry, as our Center, should be touching 10 boards a game.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Why is that? How many centers in the nba get 10rpg? 4 or 5 out of 30? The nbas most dominant rebounders are often the pfs. Its been like that for 30 years. Should Curry fight our own guys for rebounds? When patrick was Currys age (24) he averaged 8.8 boards. We should have cut him. No excuse for that. He and Curry are both useless

I think average wise Eddy is collecting enough rebounds.....but the amount of rebounds he ends up giving up to the opposition because of poor blocking out/lack of effort is what hurts the Knicks.

Once again I ask then why are we #1 in the nba in rebounding DIFFERENTIAL. That means our rebounds over our opponents? How can he be giving all our opponents so many rebounds yet we lead the whole league by a good margin in differential? we average 5.5 more rebounds a game on average game in and game out than the guys we play.

So its obviously not a problem. In fact if rebounds mean wins we would be a winning team since we are #1 in rebound differential. :)

For Curry's size, athletism & quickness he should be a 10reb guy. Just like Tim Thomas should have been. At least Curry is now a consistant scorer though unlike Thomas.

Sugar- A lot of the posters beef with Curry is legit. I don't think they are hating Curry. Marbury was hated last yr. What happend last yr that was hate with Marbury was hate. Though a lot of it was deserved . The only thing is that he is still young and will hopefully improve. Only time will tell. There is no gurantee that he will or won't improve.

Curry's numbers are improving, in terms of rebounding, but it doesn't make him efficient. However, if we're building around Curry, he needs to be cleaning glass just as much as David Lee, with just as much effort. That's not the case though, as even Quentin Richardson is a better rebounder than Curry. There really shouldn't be an excuse for Curry to be at least VERY GOOD on the boards. He's not even reliable though nor consistent.

Again, he's improving, but what's not improving is his DEFENSE, so until he does improve his defense, and become a monster on the boards (B/c he has the ability) then he's just as much a piece of trade bait to me, as Channing Frye is.

Exactly. I can't believe posters are proudly boasting that Curry rebounds more efficiently than fringe NBA players like Steven Hunter.

rebounding isn't a problem for me concerning curry (though him not boxing out cause many problems though uncle cliffy was CLEARLY over the back). if anything, defense is the big problem with curry. he should be blocking a lot more shots than he is now. obviously with the rebounding total and diffrential, that is not a problem area. as a matter of fact i am very please with that since we struggled in that department for years. but like someone says, the other part of a winning team is defense and giving up 102 oppg. will not do it.

If Eddy Curry was a jump shot as a C and never had a M. Aguirre teaching him about establishing position AND had a low rebounds avg I would give him a pass.

But this guy only plays in the paint, so rebounds for men his size is a given.

He's a lil soft like frye, this is why a D.Lee looks so good, everybody big is usually guarding frye or curry and that leaves Lee to clean up on the down low(even though leagues knows Lee now)
