Jamal has no discipline. He has a ton of talent and shows effort but absolutely no discipline.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

60th in pps is not a bad stat for a sg
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

if it was overall, but that's only among NBA guards .... that's horrendous.

Ah, Jamal. He's the only key piece of this team I do not like. I just do not understand his mentality when it comes to shooting. He has to be the most inefficient player I've ever seen in a Knicks uniform. And the thing that makes it so frustrating is that we have some very efficient players on this team, led by Curry. It kills me to see Jamal come down the floor and, with 13 seconds left on the shot clock, launch one of his patented 20-footers that you just know has no shot. I still say Curry needs at least five or six more shots per game -- and they should ALL come at Crawford's expense.

Check out these ugly numbers:

Crawford has attempted 115 MORE shots than Curry this season (in only 97 more minutes), but has made 61 FEWER field goals.

Or, look at it this way: Crawford's average per-game FG shooting this year: 5.7-for-15 (37.9%)
Curry's average: 7.1-for-12.3 (58.3%)

I realize that Curry gets to the line a lot, so that affects things. But he still should be taking more shots than Crawford.

This is one of several reasons I do not like Isiah as a coach and pray we have someone else on the sideline next season.

I think looking at stats like this, the time has come to face reality. Jamal is below-average in all of these stats... Jamal may just be a below-average player. He has a lot of talent, but he doesn't know how to harness it. The time may have come to realize how poor he is and make the appropriate changes, even if that means trading him or dropping him in the depth chart. He can't play when he's that horrendous.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Good way of looking at it, Solace.

Another way to look at Jamal: Suppose he hadn't made those game-winning shots, or had made only half of them. How much would Knicks fans hate him then?

Just because a guy has come through in the clutch a handful of times does not mean he should be getting major minutes. I firmly believe Crawford hurts us as at least as much as he helps us.

I think he has the talent to be a key part of this team as a sub getting fewer minutes, but I know he would never accept that role. Therefore, I do not consider him part of our future, because too often he does not seem willing to sacrifice his own game for the good of the team.

that guy misses a ton and makes a ton of game winners, the real problem is isiah he is a terrible coach who has let jamal regress to a point of no return, he lets the kid walk on water....
