I thought this was an interesting graphic...it appears that even their play if in line with last year, so what is so different?

The only TEAM difference is Opponents Field Goal percentage...that's gotta be something...right?

we are pretty much the same team because we have no interior defense and our perimeter defense is fair at best. We are better offensively with the "Swift" offense, but other than that this is the same ole knicks.

it does look like the same team b/c at this point last year, steph was surging and curry was putting up decent #'s. frye was inconsistent and lee was getting some major burn. quentin was still fat and hurt but crawford's production made up for that. then steph hurt his shoulder, AD ran into the stands and the rest was history.

so the team was unhappy but the results were very similar despite how the players felt lb did everything wrong for them. there's really no telling what happens after that point if steph doesn't get hurt during MLK day.

Now hold on a second! This is not' the same team. This teams attitude has changed. We are on pace to about 40 wins or maybe even a .500 season. there has been no signs of the team last year and if you notice, the second half of last season was the real disaster. Remeber marbury and Brown going at it with the press and how it affected the whole team. That's not happening this time and the Knicks have been much, much more consistent. We'd have to have another disasterous second half to only win a hand full of games. Have a little more faith. This Knicks team is much more balance and much more confident. We have progressivly gotten better and better not only as individuals, but as a team. There is no signs of last year, non that I can see so far. The second half of the season is going to be the difference. You'll see.

it's also saying that the league has gotten worse defensively. the knicks are giving up over 1 ppg and have moved up in the rankings.
