They really bash hoops a lot. They are asking if Isiah will stay. They both say they will watch some of the game tomorrow....LOL Inbetween putting kids to bed and reading their mail. Man these haters are funny. They think Isiah will be back. They say Curry and Lees progress is in Isiahs column to stay
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I can't believe that pompous Francesca. Talking with Mad dog the other day. "Mike, will you watch the Knicks play Phoenix? Any interest in the Rocket game?" No Dog. I'll pick up the NBA in the playoffs. Isn't it his job to watch the NBA? After all, he is a sports talk show host. Who the hell does he think he is? He thinks there are basically two sports: football and baseball. What a joke! His program director should have hauled his butt into a room after that show and read him the riot act. He probably has a mansion in Long Island off the money he makes sitting on his butt and sipping his diet Cokes on YES offering his "expert" opinions. And he can't be bothering watching the hometown Knicks.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

If their fanbase isn't interested in talking about NBA and college basketball then why are they going to talk about those subjects?

Say what you want about those 2 guys, but they certainly aren't stupid and theres a reason that their ratings are what they are.

Mike and Chris just don't like the NBA. I was really annoyed with how they bashed the Knicks and their chances. Chris saying they'll win maybe 34-35 games and Mike saying 35-37, but yet they talked about the Nets having a shot to get to the finals out of the East. The Nets are only 2 games better right now and they have a great shot to go to the finals.

They simply hate the Knicks and have little interest in BB. Even if callers try to talk BB, it won't matter cuz Chris and Mike come into the day without any NBA topic. They almost never have any talking point to stimulate discussion and that's the reason no one calls in about the NBA. There are PLENTY of NBA fans in NY. It's just that Chris and Mike only cater to the older set that doesn't like the Hip NBA Generation.

There ratings are what they are. You're not on the radio to be a public service, you're on the radio to make money, obviously if they felt by talking NBA they would make more money they would. Those guys love college basketball and talk about a good amount. Their ratings are what they are for a reason.

Listening to Mike and the Mad Dog talk hoops is no better than having a porcupine put it's spikes in your ears, relentlessly. They are OK for baseball and football, but their bball insight is zero. If you wanna hear some good hoops, turn on Brandon Teirney. He's good.
