Ok for those who don't know "going in" means brimg aggressive when doing something.

Al went in on Mike dunleavy0calling him a total and complete bust. Wow what strong language! I forgot he was the 3ed pick, plus he has that huge contract. Yeah I guess he is a bust, but I probably wouldn't call him a total and complete bust. He's not terrible though, he can play. I don't know I just thouhy it was unusual.

You know when people talk about bust in the draft, it's a wonder his name never comes up..... he could be the worst third overall pick ever.

I don't have a problem with a commentator having such strong opinions but when that commentator is nothing more than a puppet for his network the way Trautwig is, it comes off as disingenuous.

Darius Miles, Chistaen Laettner, Raef Lafretnz, Chris Jackson were worse.

Chris Washburn is much worse.

I'm not saying he's a savior but I don't understand all the Dunleavy hate. The kid is decent player, right now averaging 11, 5, and 3 assists. I mean he's not great but he's a jack of all trades player I would be happy to have.

Anji, how can he be the worst third pick ever?!?

just going back, third picks are:

Darius Miles, 2000: 10 pts, 5 rebs, 2 assists, 1 blk for his career.
Raef Lafrentz, 1998: 11 pts, 6, rebs, 1 assist, 1 blk
Laettner, 1992.

This kid is going on year 5. Some other number 3's didn't get it for a LONG time(Billiups), some got it right away (Hill). I think the worst of all time label should be held off for a bit.

NYK, I didn't even read your post as you were posted it while I was stat gathering and I didn't go as far back as Washburn, but we still came up with the same exact names.

It's cool Joe.

I agree with your previous post too, Dunleavy is no savior, but he certainly isn't the worst #3 pick of all-time. What I saw from this guy in college was a very good player, a very good shooter and solid rebounder, I'm not sure it hasn't translated into the NBA game, but I have a feeling it will. A change of scenery will do him a lot of good and I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers go hard after him again so he and his father can be on the same team.

I don't see the Clippers/Warriors making a trade togther since they are rivals so is there any chance now that there is a Maggette for Dunleavy/Diogu deal in the works?

I doubt it. I mean to me this deal signals that Indy is going younger. Maybe they can turn Dunleavy around to a team like the Grizz or even a team like us. They have way too many SF's who just can't play the 2 guard. This trade does not make them better now and only really makes them better in a few years. My bet is JO is gone next, probably after the season. Maybe for a couple picks plus expirings.

JO can't be happy with this, IMO, and I would bet anything that he's gone. Scary part is, I see a perfect fit for JO is us. A coach he loves, entering his prime. And we have pieces to give (Craw, Nate, Frye, Balkman, Lee) even a midround pick to dangle.

Well dun Jr. Still is a young guy. He has had some monster games numbers wise. It just makes you wonder what is wrong with him. Check his career highs. Kinda suprises you. A lot of those games he had the career highs in the same game.

Did anyone catch him at the rucker last summer? He came out a little flat and looked kinda scared and the crowd was heckling a little. Then he took over, lol. He got really into the game and had the crazy killer look in his eye.

you really find trautwig to be a tool for msg? wow i feel the total opposite. every time i turn around it seems like trautwig is taking shots at the knicks and over exaggerating how bad they are everytime they mess up. I remember one time he was bashing the players in preseason, and after he interviewed someone else who wasnt nearly as pessimistic, he said something like "obviously im taking this way to seriously".

anyway I think dunleavy pretty much is a bust. heh truatwig always says things like that though. i remember when the knicks lost to the hawks, and he called the hawks an awful team of freelancers, or something to that effect.
