I just don't like his body language and I don't like his level of intensity. He doesn't know how to play. He can shoot and he can make a pass here and there, but he doesn't bring it. He doesn't show that he knows what he is doing out there. He doesn't box out. His idea of defense is waving his hand around like he is trying to put a fire out. If he gets a rebound its totally ny accident. Same with block shots.

That's my beef in a nutshell. Frye doesn't bring it. All the other players are bringing that intensity. Even Jared who is turning back into the retard I thought he was in Washington, sucks but is playing hard.

Anyway.

Where is that jumphook? The knicks don't need to clear it out for him to make that move. If he would rebound and mix it up he would get those opportunities. I mean David lee does. david lee had a beautiful hook about 8 feet away after he caught a long rebound faked it, spinned and put it up with I believe Ron Ron flat footed just frozen.

Isiah wants to take advantage of fryes jumpshot. Ok what else is he gonna do? Run everything through frye? Frye is not dirk. Does frye have any ball handling ability? Does he have any face move outside of a basic one dribble to the side and pop? No he doesn't. Does frye even have any ability to dribble with his back to the basket? No he doesn't. Just backing up is not gonna get it done. Most defenders hold him there until he passes out or turns it over. Does frye have a turn around jumpshot? Well he should. Again you don't need a play called for you to show off a turn around. That should be one of his go to moves. Channing has lead feet.

Man **** channing! Play ball! Stop complaining to the refs and stop thinking you deserve to start. You don't.

You are not KG, Sheed or dirk. Dude you not even Troy Murphy. You should be looking to become more like drew gooden. Gooden has post skills and he has moderate ball handling. He suprised everyone with his rebounding ability. Thing is you can't be like any of these guys with no desire. Take some DHEA!!!

You are doleac 20lbs lighter! You are a young Danny schayes. PERIOD!!!

I hope you read this. Print it out and I will sign it for you. Tape it to your locker. Staple it to your ass. Just learn it and do something about it now!!!

You can't fool me. Stop trying to fool yourself. You damn sure won't be able to fool the rest of the league before too long.

The genius has spoken!

I had all these same gripes with Channing when I was watching him at Arizona which is why I was so against Isiah drafting him. What scares me most is that the same gripes I had with Channing at Arizona haven't changed 4-5 years later.

how about moving him to the bench where he backs up Curry first and formost. If Curry is playing 35 a game that still leaves Frye at least 10-15 minutes a night where he can play his natural position and be featured in the offense.

Look how much better Frye is at center than PF, on both sides of the ball. Especially look at his rebounding and blocked shots

to me this is easily the worst part of Isiah's coaching. Just watch... I dont know how much more obvious it could get.

Ignore the stats if you want and just watch that body language your talking about. The minute he moves to center he becomes more physical and aggressive on both ends.

"Frye, you are white!!!"

Just kidding!

Isiah has him playing away from the basket. The goal is for him to shoot the midrange shot and open things up for Eddy. If they double team eddy they have to play out to fry.

While Channing is not the rough and tumble PF, he is playing the coaches game and it helps eddy!

Channing frye reminds me of a surburban kid trying to join a pickup game in Harlem.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

For all of his short-commings, Frye is better than some fringe back-up player. He has a skill (in shooting) that most shooting guards would die for. So, he's not your typical back to the basket, pound it in the post type player. We have that in Curry. The objective is to build a team that compliments each other, not a group of individuals. Lee, Frye and Curry compliment each other well. Curry in the post, Lee with the boards and passing, and Frye can impact the game without getting in Curry's way.

Only in NY do you see fans complaining about our young players who haven't even finished developing yet. There are over a dozen teams in this league that would love to have Frye in thier starting frontcourt. Dont tell me Frye aint good enough to start on a team that aint even over 500.

Just because Frye doesn't show much emotion doesn;t mean he aint working hard. Thats unfair. Its like when people used to call Houston soft. Because Houston played next to the most intense player we've ever seen in NY in Spree, he was labeled soft. Soft players come up small and hide in the clutch and Frye came up big down the stretch against the Pistons.

Isiah is in a bind. For Curry to be effective you HAVE to have 1 dead-eye shooter on the floor, and Channing is that guy. It's not Q, it's not Marb or Craw. And with the combo of either Lee or JJ out there, Curry would get doubled all over the place.

Cutters and jumpshooters are what Curry needs to be successful. Team is not balanced.

even though i think frye is a good compliment to curry, i think he's a very tradeable asset and wouldn't be surprised if he's gone by the beginning of next year. in fact, i hope he's gone b/c he's a *****, as eny pointed out.

martin, you dont think Q is more of a dead eye shooter than frye? homeboy is shooting 40% from downtown!

frye in a package with nate, who i think is the perfect throw-in b/c of his skill set, should yield something, whether it be this season, during the offseason (particularly to move up in the draft, those 2 plus the pick could move up 10 spots or so).

martin i think rather than needing one dead eye shooter you need all competent shooters and w/ jeffries you just don't get that
