Kidd On The Block?
16th January, 2007 - 5:30 am
New York Daily News -
According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, one league GM, upon inquiring about the availability of Vince Carter, was asked by the Nets if he'd be interested in trading for Jason Kidd instead.

While Kidd's off-court life has been a mess lately, he has played some of the best basketball of his career. He had 19 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in a 105-95 victory over the Pacers yesterday and has seven triple-doubles this season, by far the most in the league. [READ

hmm, i wonder if the cause of the supposed chemistry issues in the Nets lockerroom has anything to do w/his off the court issues?

there's no possible matches salary wise though unless the Bulls are willing to part w/Ben Wallace... J Kidd makes $19 mil per for the next 2 seasons not including the rest of this one... basically the same contract Marbury's signed to.

Scary to say, but I think the guy the Bulls need is Eddie Curry.

They don't really need any guards right now. Their backcourt is solid on both ends of the court.

Marbury, Frye and Nate for Kidd?

Ahh, who am I kidding. Like the Nets would ever take Marcancer back.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

lol... nice thought, but we're stuck w.Marbury until 2008 at the earliest.

Ben Wallace & Kirk Hinrich for Jason Kidd would work salary wise, but i don't think Chicago would be remotely interested in doing it... they just signed Hinrich to a huge extension too... Ben & Ben could work too money wise... Kidd's age as well as his past knee issues probably scares them away from making any deals that the Bulls would be amenable to... i don't see a match there, unless the Nets just get desperate to unload the guy, which would be a moronic move.

Why do you think it would be impossible to trade these 2 pgs even up again or something close to that? Its a different Nets team with different ownership.

They've already been down the Cancerbury route before. They got rid of him last time because of his poor attitude, why would they want him back? I think the Nets would request Curry in a Kidd trade, which of course, we wouldn't do.

Well thats because they got Jkidd. also since then the Nets have new ownership, new players and a new coach. I'm sure you are right that its not likely but maybe we can sweeten the pot. Add Cato (they need a big) and maybe Nate? I wouldnt mind getting Antwoine Wright from them as well. I think Jkidd here means playoffs

if you could do the Marbury trade over again, would you want to do it?

i think that says all that needs to be said.

I'm biased against the guy so I cant go by what I feel. How desparate are the nets to get rid of JKidd. Hey its worth a shot. The Nets dont hate Isiah as far as I know.

the contract's are equal, so i can't imagine how desperate they'd be to get rid of 1 of the best PG's in the NBA for a player who's only the best PG in the NBA in his own mind, especially when they've already been down that painful road w/Marbury before.

if they want to trade J Kidd, i'm sure they can get a nice package back from any # of prospective teams that would be much better than any package involving Stephon.

It doesn't say Chicago is interested, it says a league GM is interested. Its just being reported by the Chicago tribune.

If Thorn offered Kidd, I imagine its a west coast team (can't see him offering Kidd to a team he will see 4 times a yr) and it must be a team that feels there a player away from seriously contending for the championship.

I doubt Kidd is on the block but I am pretty sure his p.enis was, that's why he filed those papers...

(Seriously mods, p.enis is blocked?)
