King can you tell David that everyone in New York loves him and don't worry about what this IDIOT says he won't be here long.

The funniest part is that DAVID LEE CAN ACTUALLY SHOOT A 15 FOOT J!!!!

How many times have you seen Lee drain a jumper this year and heard breen go "hes been workin on that shot" what the hell does he have to do to make people say "hes got a jumper" start shooting fadeaways?

Jeffries has not hit ONE SHOT ALL SEASON Lee has hit countless they are not in the same categories

Isiah is really a jackass

"Thomas was asked after the Knicks' win over Sacramento on MLK Day how big was Lee's performance. Instead of praising Lee, Isiah went into a bizarre riff about Lee barely grazing the rim on a jumper from the foul line in the second half, dwelling on the one bad moment he made all game. It was bizarre."

elite...i saw the actualy interview and i can tell you right now....that isiah was praising lee throughout the interview....

also, the blog is written in a negative way as it makes it seem isiah was talking about both guys in the same manner, but in essence isiah was saying that lee, jefferies and balkman need to learn to hit the 15 fotter consistently because than the double teams curry faces will help alleviate any pressure he feels if they can hit those perimeter shots
''We don't have the luxury to take anybody lightly,'' New York's Quentin Richardson said. ''We're not that good.''

i saw the interview too, he was basically saying, they missed those shots, but they wont keep missing them, those guys can knock those shots down and when the start falling teams are going to have to respect it. He said something along those lines, I didn't even bother to read the link because I watched the interview.

BTW, Elite where in the world would racism factor in to this? He drafted Lee with the last pick inthe first round, the entire league passed him up. What in the world are talking about?

Another thing though, can we please chill with this racist stuff. The term gets used WAY to much around here, Isiah Thomas is not a racist because he's not playing a white guy lol.

Just one thing tho...How is this racist or Demeaning to David Lee?

Just do me a favor read it again..I omitted Berman's interpretation of Isiah coment and just posted what Isiah said according to his blog..

"It was good to see him take that shot, "Once he gets enough confidence where he can make a foul-line shot, and we can get Jeffries, they can make foul-line shots, because Eddy's doing a great job drawing double-teams. The 15-foot shot is going to be there for those guys. We'll spend a lot of time on it. I was happy to see both of them take that shot. Even though Jared shot an airball and Dave damned near shot an airball, that shot two months from now is going to win us a basketball game down the line.''

While I do believe that Isiah sees color at times I'm sure this had nothing to do with racism. Also Berman is way off. The better Lee does the better Isiah looks for drafting him
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Even reading Berman's blog I could tell there were things IT must have said that Berman was leaving out. This is all media hype. Berman and the other media hounds look at places such as this site and see that everyone talks about Lee. So how do you create controversy. Hmm, let's make it so that IT does not like Lee and does not start him because he is trying to justify Jeffries. All you have to do is omit the positive statements that IT makes about Lee and highlight the negative statements, and the result is you get fans calling IT racist for not starting Lee. Everyone grabs papers trying to read what new slight IT has said against Lee today, and Berman and his crew stay happy.

The whole thing is really pathetic. IT drafted Lee and plays him about 30 mins a game. He gives Lee every opportunity to shine. The reason that he does not start Lee is two-fold. First, there are holes in Lee's game. Lee cannot guard SFs and sometimes gets overpowered by PF. Plus, Lee does not have Fyre's jumpshot, so when Curry passes out of the double team, that is one less option for the offense. Second, Lee is vital to the second unit. Lee is just as effective coming off the bench as starting and provides energy to the second unit. In IT's mind, there is no pressing need to start Lee. You might disagree with that but this attempt by the media and some fans to create this great controversy over this issue is blown out of proportion. The last thing we need is these players to start becoming jealous of each other over minutes and dwelling on this issue does nothing but fuel the possibility that will occur.

This is just lame many levels..It's lame on Berman's part for even trying to project something that isn't really there..Lame on our part for letting a guy like that shape what you think and draw conclusions for you without properly analyzing the situation for yourself..

Can't help but thinking on this day, 50 years removed from MLK has changed many things for the better, so much so that MLK would probably be proud of the progress that has occurred ..Let's hope it doesn't take another 50 years for us to get it right...

The biggest story for the Knicks this season is the emergence of Eddy Curry. The second biggest story is the development of David Lee. He's become one of the best rebounders in the league and is developing an offensive game. He plays smart on o, making the good pass and using judgment on shot selection. As time goes by, his offense will get better. Hopefully, he'll develop on the defensive side, too.

Lee's a smart guy and a hard worker. He knows what he needs to do to continue developing his game. So I expect to see him continue to improve to the point where he becomes one of the top 4's in the league.

this post should be locked for both title and the avalanche of responses to the contrary...the reponses to berman's blog was just as telling.

the city is turning on our knicks...or maybe (as someone indicated) the positive fans are being more vocal.

either way this post and berman's blog were senseless.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Everything Berman writes is laced with his personal agenda

when did he ever report on the game with a critical or objective eye?

This is very accurate analysis of the Lee situation. So what he doesn't start, he still gets close to 30 mins a game and more importantly, he finishes the games isn't it the ultimate sign of trust that Isiah has Lee in the game when the game is on the line?
