My girlfriend was reading one of the Lakers forums, and someone posted the following:

Seriously, this guy is terrible. I can't believe we will have to put up with him for another 5 years. Unreal.
Oh well, at least we're not the Knicks.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I hear ya. A few years ago, I'd be annoyed. Now I'd just be in agreement and laughing with her (at least on the outside, probably saddened but hiding it on the inside!)

you could argue the Knicks have a better future than the lakers... they got Bynam and thats it... Kobe will be ending soon and then what.

This is how all non-NY fans feel about NY teams. Its the same in baseball and football.
It's how they feel about all awful teams regardless of geographic location. I've never heard a baseball fan say, "It could be worse. At least we're not the Yankees/Mets." We used to hear people say "At least we're not the Clippers" though.
