He didn't like the foul calls against Marbury. He said the Knicks were fun to watch in the first half. He talked about Marbury's play of late in which he was speaking highly of.

I have always liked Breen, but to be fair, it is kind of annoying when he's always harping on the players argueing calls. I mean, granted, the Knicks definitely do argue too much and Breen is calling it like he sees it, and Nate was being an idiot, and Breen was right about that too, and how he says the whole team doesn't play defense and Curry still needs to make a commitment about that. Yeah, he's right about that too.

Besides him praising the refs a couple of times a game, I still don't see the problem.

Yeah but he was saying stuff like Curry traveled when he Okafor fouled him in the post..He described the play as Curry bullying Okafor when the foul was called on Okafor..I'm sure if he described Shaq, he would say something like Shaq powered to the basket and got the foul..But it was Curry bullying Okafor and it looked like he traveled,ok he didn't travel, they called a foul on Okafor...Love that guy Breen...

I almost muted the game cuz of Breen last night.. he is SO ANNOYING i just cant stand him

He is hated because he accentuates the negatives...He harps on the negatives constantly in a condescending manner...When he does national games he is really good..he just does the play by play..When he does Knick games, his opinion about the players and action can be offensive...Is it the truth, mostly yeah but he puts it out there patronizing manner...You want to watch the action without not knowing the announcer is there...He makes it really obvious and tries to influence your opinion about players and the team...I really don't need that from a play by play guy..Thats more the job of the color guy..It's just annoying..

I agree. I agree like a mofo.

Add to the fact that he has to correct everything. To me the play by play guy and the color guy are supposed to be enjoying the game too. Breen is that friend of yours that likes to talk rule book ****. Its like man, drink your beer and shut the **** up. Clyde always has fun. Clyde is like the weed head. He's already coming down off a major high and is thinking about another one. Mellow is the word, cool is the verb daddy-o.

Clyde rocks. Best NY announcer since the Scooter. He's an easy listen. He makes you enjoy the game and look forward to listening to him. It's entertainment, pure and simple. Too many announcers these days take it all way too seriosuly and take all the fun out of it. That's why I cannot stand Michael Kay. The guy has no sense of humor and acts like he is the only authority on the Yankees. Listening to that guy every night just ain't fun.

he's not always hating... i've heard him praise the team when they show a good effort on the defense several times... the only time he gets annoying though is when he adds his own obligatory personal soap box preaching about the consistent mistakes the team is making, or about topics that go over & above the calling of the game in question... that's when he seems to be making his call of the game more about himself than anything else... fans just want to watch the game & listen to a guy call it w/o all the extra personal commentary & opinions being thrown at you when you might not necessarily agree with them... it makes the watching experience contentious at times, when you really shouldn't have to think about arguing w/someone over their point of view when all you want to do is watch the game & hear the commentators explain the action on the court.

Yeah micheal Kay is annoying too but he is a homer so you deal with him. You know it kills him when the yanks lose.

Breen comes in with the attitude like the knicks will most likely lose anyway. From the tip he's just low energy.

Give me Gus Johnson any day. Gus is always upbeat and ready to embrace a knick win. Gus also equally shows disgust and points out what went wrong. Clyde and Gus to me need to be paired together always. They are like old friends that been through it all and are just enjoying some down time before they go out whoring after the game.
