I am glad that people beyond the homers on this site see the potential for this team.
Some day you might see the difference between exciting play and winning basketball.
6-4 over the last 10 games. That seems like winning basketball to me from a very young team.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Take a multiple choice test, pick random answers. You have a good shot of getting a winning streak somewhere in there. That's the problem with judging small sample sizes. We're considerably below .500 for the season, which is less than acceptable.
if we get to .500 this year, would you sing a different tune, or would it move to another plateau the knicks must reach?
If we're .500 for the season, I'd say we hit a reasonable goal for *this* season. It still doesn't indicate us going towards a championship, but it's a milestone. I, like many others, want a championship. For us to get to .500, I think a few more guys need to step up, or the guys who have been stepping up, need to step up even more. If they got to .500, they'd certainly instill more confidence in me and others.
The problem isn't this milestone, though. Future milestones would be at least 45 wins the following season, 50 the one after, an NBA finals appearance within the two seasons after, and a championship after that. Do you really see that happening?

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
