Carlos Delfino is a nice young player that can play the wing and knock down some open jumpers...He can stretch the defense to help Curry's inside game...He would be nice coming off the bench for now and maybe can grow into a starting role at the two or the three...He is a hard nosed player that goes hard to the hole...Good rebounding numbers for his limited minutes

It's not likely we could get such a player being in the eastern conference and he cost Detroit practically nothing...He is underused in Detroit at the moment...Tough playing behind Rip...But it's pieces like that we need to add going forward...Man would he look good in a Knick uniform...

right now, the roster is stocked to the gills.
our top 10 are better than delfino IMHO...but that's only because I like the hard nosed defense, ball handling, size and future of Mardy Collins.

I'm going to have to go with the company line of Isiah's and say...

"I like our roster"

My Top 10
Balkman, Renaldo
Collins, Mardy
Crawford, Jamal
Curry, Eddy
Frye, Channing
Jeffries, Jared
Lee, David
Marbury, Stephon
Richardson, Quentin
Robinson, Nate

bigs and you don't give up bigs for small
Rose, Malik
Cato, Kelvin
James, Jerome

N/A
Francis, Steve

Now, if we could get him for free, that's another story entirely, but when would he play?
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Haven't watched enough of him but he is definitely being underused in Detroit. How many more years are on his contract? Delfino in a heartbeat over Mardy COllins. Sorry Mardy. Mardy looks like the oldest looking rookie I've seen in a while. I feel like he might have some grey hairs already.

He has another three years I think but nothing a draft pick can't clear up...He had a sick dunk over Okafor last night..Just nasty...He has a nice overall game that needs polishing with playing time..Much like most of our guys...They can grow together....

"Tweaking" is what contending teams do to improve their championship hopes.

That isn't the Knicks.

There isn't a single player that should be deemed untouchable and shouldn't be moved in the right deal to rebuild this mess.

Very true but this team new core is young and needs to play to see how they develop...No one should be untouchable..Just no major trades or giving away our future to win now trades...Just play this group and let them develop...Thats all I'm saying...

How about
Nate to the Hawks or Clippers for a future first rounder
Frye to the Warriors for Pietrus
Francis bought out

Rotation and SL:
Marbury
Pietrus
Richardson
Lee
Curry
with Crawford, JJSkinny, Balkman and Cato off the bench.
Rose/JJFat/Mardy is someone gets in a car wreck

Thats a good step to establishing more of a team. Assuming Marbury still feels like playing D you surround Curry with perimeter defenders and put one of the league's best rebounders next to him.
JJSkinny and Balkman give you versatile defense off the bench and can guard multiple positions. Cato gives you size and shotblocking. Crawford will get 30 minutes a game at the 1 and 2 and when we go with 3 guards.

We recoup a first rounder. We cut the rotation and go with 8 guys which will help everyone. We set this team up around Curry to suceed.

That last sentence surprises me coming from you but the rest sounds okay. If Isiah trades Nate, it'll be for someone who can help now, not in the future, though. (He's got a 1 season mandate.)
