The Knicks have won five in a row at home -- who gets the credit? Are the fans responsible for the outcome of games? Or is the team just playing better at home? Where are all the people who were blaming losses on fans booing? Why aren't you crediting the fans with these wins? Does anyone still care to argue that the Knicks home record is a product of fan reaction rather than the teams play?

The fans were not responsible for the losing, that certainly fell on the teams shoulders. I believe the attitude was the booing certainly wasn't helping the situation and was having a negative affect on the team. It's equivalent to basically someone kicking you while your down, someone who you rely on to be there saying F U. The fact that the team is playing better and winning more games has given the crowd some much needed confidence in the team. The difference is the crowd is no longer quick on the trigger and they are a factor against the opposing team. The team gets the credit for playing better, the fans are starting to believe and become fans again.

In other words, this team is mentally weak.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

It makes sense that people have softened their stances now that they realize how ridiculous they were being. A few weeks ago, people were killing the fans and blaming our poor home record on the boos. You know who you are. Man up.

Another one, man you don't miss a beat. I almost think you post this way to engage people in conversation. (so here goes)
there are many teams that would have went through the start the knicks went through and probably tanked the season.

Where are we ? with a real chance to get to .500 and take the division and make the playoffs. You don't do that with a mentally weak team. This team has an identity, it might not be the identity most people want, but its something to build on.

The fans booing was causing the Knicks to lose. I thank god for the diligent posters on this board for getting the word out. Once the fans got the message that they were the cause of the problem, they admited that they were wrong - much to their credit - and changed their behavior. Now the Knicks are winning again.
