(1) He's a great passer for a team that's learning to pass the ball better.
(2) It allows Frye to be included in a trade for a star player like Ray Allen or Ron Artest.
(3) If Frye stays he would compliment very well when Curry is on the bench
(4) The Knicks are one game out of first in the division and starting to play their best ball.
(5) He Isiah's guy

Personally I'd like to see Frye & Jefferies be traded for Artest bc I think both players are soft. Just not sure if Isiah is cool with Artest.

I bet ya Isiah would snatch up Ron Ron in a heartbeat if he was from Chi-Town.

I don't see how he fits. Not sure why he makes Frye expendable. Webber is WAY over the hill. We tried to thin out the dreck at PF after last year, and we still have Lee & Frye competing. With Webber, Frye then becomes the backup center? Some like him as a center, I guess, but I don't get this idea at this point.

Well to play the devil's advocate, Webber does fit at PF.

He is big enough to play decent post defense, he can shoot the outside shot, he is good for pick and rolls, and he is an average rebounder.

So to summarize, he does everything Frye does well better, and than brings more defense and rebounding to the table.

His contract is obscene of course, so there it is.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I think if we got him it would somehow be after a buyout by the Sixers and then use the low-level exception, right?

Webber's joining the Knicks' because he wants to play next to Curry. He's TIRED of being the player who is the biggest defensive liability on his team!

The main reason Frye would be expendable is because of David Lee, who is the best 4 on the team.

Unless we want to make Frye a back-up Center (which is his best position) then we're better off trading him. David Lee is the eventual starter because he's just gonna get better.

Why wouldn't you take a chance on Webber for the Vet minimum (no need to use the LLE). Why Webber would want to come to NY is beyond me.

Ouch. Classic.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Webber is done done done. No thanks. He's horrendously bad now. And he used to be my favorite player, but no way do I want him now.

I just heard that it looks like Philly is going to buyout Webber. But we already used our MLE so I don't think we will be able to sign him.

Webber probably wants to win, since money isn't an option.
