I think we can pull this 2 trades off.

First...
New York trades: SG Lavor Postell (3.2 ppg, 0.2 rpg, 0.2 apg in 6.7 minutes)
PG Charlie Ward (8.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.8 apg in 24.0 minutes)
New York receives: PG Marcus Camby (8.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.8 apg in 24.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -11.5 ppg, -3.2 rpg, and -5.0 apg.

Denver trades: PG Marcus Camby (8.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.8 apg in 24.0 minutes)
Denver receives: SG Lavor Postell (3.2 ppg, 0.2 rpg, 0.2 apg in 6 games)
PG Charlie Ward (8.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.8 apg in 26 games)
Change in team outlook: +11.5 ppg, +3.2 rpg, and +5.0 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

I think Denver would do this trade because of Wards contract status and we get tall all of a sudden. Postell is thrown in to sweeten the pot.

New York trades: SF Clarence Weatherspoon (6.0 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 0.9 apg in 25.4 minutes)
PG Frank Williams (0.2 ppg, 0.2 rpg, 0.5 apg in 5.2 minutes)
New York receives: C Nazr Mohammed (3.9 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.1 apg in 11.3 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +4.8 ppg, -3.0 rpg, and -0.1 apg.

Atlanta trades: C Nazr Mohammed (3.9 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.1 apg in 11.3 minutes)
SF Dion Glover (7.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.2 apg in 17.2 minutes)
Atlanta receives: SF Clarence Weatherspoon (6.0 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 0.9 apg in 31 games)
Change in team outlook: -4.8 ppg, +3.0 rpg, and +0.1 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

We get taller again and we give him up basically for a late 1st rounder. We send Weatherspoon to make the salaries up.

What do you think?

C-Camby/Mohamed (Mohamed only if Camby is still injured)
PF - KT
SF - Spree
SG - Houston
PG - Eisley

Bench - Anderson, Nailon, Mohamed, Harrington, Doleac, Sign PG from CBA.

We get tall really quick. We get rid of the PG glut to setup the arrival of Milos Vujanic.

No more Camby in NY please the man is an athletic stiff, who finds himself on the bench wearing sweaters. His lack of offensive skills gets him on the injured list all the time because he tries to get to the basket when a simple jumper would do. He has no post game he can't hit the ocean from six feet away. Why would you want him back here. He had his chance enough already with stick man Camby, he is not the answer, the Knicks need to move on and look to a new future.

New York receives: C Erick Dampier (9.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 0.8 apg in 25.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.3 ppg, +4.4 rpg, and -4.3 apg.

Golden State trades: C Erick Dampier (9.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 0.8 apg in 25.9 minutes)
Golden State receives: SG Lavor Postell (3.2 ppg, 0.2 rpg, 0.2 apg in 6 games)

I'm not a Dampier fan. I think he is a stiff, I know the Knicks need a center but they need to go and look for someone that is young and athletic hopefully they will be able to land someone like Milicic in the draft.
I would love for the Knicks to ride this season out without making any moves. I want the Knicks to get a high position in the lottery hopefully they get in the top four. Next year the KNicks will have a new outlook with three or four new faces on the team. Dice, Vujanic and their number one thats a lot to look forward to.

Dampier is a contract killer, besides we wouldn't be giving up anything really for Camby, I mean we have to get rid of Ward to make room for Milos anyway and Lavor doesn't play so what would we lose? Even if he were to only play 20 games next season we wouldn't lose much. Besides, between Dice, Thomas, Doleac, and whichever bigman we draft, it wouldn't be as big of a blow to us as it was in years past.
