SAS holding his feet to the fire and ask how he feels about starting...he says he think he earned his starting role and is doing what is asked of him...but will do anything the coach ask him to do...

the only thing Channing did to earn his starting role over D Lee is being picked over him in the draft... he had a good start to his rookie year last year when D Lee was hardly given an opportunity to play... this year there's really nothing he's done to earn his starting spot.

Well I'm not sure about that...Frye said that Isiah ask him to play on the perimeter to stretch the defense to free Curry on the inside...Lee really can't do that...I would love to see Frye play more under the basket and develop his post game...Coming into this year Frye earned his starting spot...If his numbers suffer because his coach ask him to play like a small forward and stay away from the basket, how do you punish him by benching him??

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe Curry was playing in the low post last year too... Frye's game hasn't changed a bit from last year to this year other than the fact that he's not nearly as aggressive going to the hole as he was last season... playing like a shooting PF doesn't mean being a passive perimeter shooter on every rotation... he needs to look for his shot more & go after rebounds more aggressively... the fact that D Lee has outshined him in every aspect of the game other than his perimeter shooting is no coincidence... he's simply a better basketball player at this stage in his career imo.

It's not pointless when it's Isiah game plan and he implements it every game...It is coincidental that Eddy's game came along when Frye got hurt....Frye is back andEddy is still a monster on the inside..The difference now is that Eddy is being double and triple team...How is Dlee in the starting lineup going to help that...Do you really believe that Frye can't grab 7-8 boards a game if he is playing under the basket??

I can understand that Isiah asked him to play outside to give Curry room, what about when he's in and Curry is on the bench? You have to know when/how to go inside, he needs to develop a post game and get more consistant with rebounding.

Actually its an Isiah Thomas argument, I have no idea why it doesn't make sense.....

He didn't earn ****, not in summer league, training camp etc, he has sucked all season, and i guess constantly getting beat for rebounds on both ends and fumbling the ball whenever he touches it has something to do with his outside game, knocking down 40% of his jumpers......

I dont see how people cant see how before Lee couldnt start because he has NO shot! Now that Qs back there is some lineups that you can put on the floor with Lee that are balanced, but before, what are you going to do, start Curry/Lee/JJ? Curry/Lee/Balkman/ Curry/Frye/Lee? And keep in mind that when Frye was out the lineup people werent doubling Eddy everytime he touched the ball. You really dont think perimeter shooting is needed to balance the offense?!?

HOlfresh whats up with your love affair with Frye..... There IS NO ARGUEMENT for Frye over Lee.. There just isnt one, so stop trying.

Curry/Lee/JJ(Balkman)? No perimeter shooting. Eliminate our offense right there unless we hope that Crawford and Marbury can both drop 40 going one on one every play.

Curry/Frye/Lee? Nice. I want to see how many points Pierce, Lebron, Carter, Hill, Melo, Tmac, etc will drop on Lee. That will be fun, watching a 6'9" 240lb PF trying to guard them. Oh, and by the way, lets take our best rebounder and put him on the perimeter. Great idea.
