The Milwaukee Bucks announced Monday afternoon that forward Michael Redd is expected to be sidelined from four to six weeks with a strained left patellar tendon that he suffered in last Saturday's game against Cleveland at the Bradley Center.

Redd underwent evaluation and further testing by team orthopedic physician, John Heinrich, on Monday. Redd will continue rehabilitation during the time he is out. [READ]

I mean, it's a break in that it helps their playoff push because Milwaukee is really hurting, but Milwaukee couldn't even try to contain Curry last time they played.

The Knicks have been without Q (who many of us called their best player over the first few months of the season) for the last few weeks. It all evens out.

Didn't the Knicks already beat the Bucks WITH Redd?

Does it not make the Knicks job easier without the Bucks best player? What's the complaint about the *fact* that the Bucks are a better team with Michael Redd? Sheesh.

Not so much, at least when talking about the suspended players. We were missing players who are mearly irrelevant to our success. Milwaukee will be missing its BEST player. Huge difference. So far its been shown that us being without Nate, Jeffries and Mardy helped remove some of our glut.

Dude, we had 7 players and were playing multiple OT games back to back. It is the same for all intents and purposes, our guys were exhausted.

Yeah, that comes across as doing anything possible to never cut any slack for the Knicks team. Q-Rich was out and is certainly important to this team's success. Just having depth so guys don't play 55 min on back to back to back games is kind of important too!

I was responding to the fact that our suspended players are irrelevant to our success. Q is a good piece, but not one of our top three players (in fact our winning percentage is as good or better without him), and yes our team was tired, but exhausted is an embarassing exaggeration. I still say its a completely different scenario. To make excuses for a game that was what... two weeks ago, when we got creamed, is silly.

Anyway, its amazing that someone saying that it should help us that Milwaukee is missing its top guy (is it not true?) has been denied by posters and now its been turned around to relate to us. Gimme a break. If Curry goes down, then we can talk about parallels.

I think it was a big break for Philly. YOu catch a team with exhausted starters and a rotation cut by a third....they were exhausted. By your logic as long as you have your top three players you could get two more from the NBADL and play everyone 48 min and it wouldn't really be a big disadvantage.

Nope. That's putting words in my mouth. I was saying that we had 6 of our top 7 players by my estimation, and were maybe missing our 5th best player. I just don't think that's huge. The being tired is a concern, but every team plays back to backs. We had almost all of our big minute guys, who play big minutes regardless of 7 men or 12 men on the roster. If we're going to hold that as a standard for an excuse, then we should excuse every team that comes off a back to back that plays us. I don't see you jumping to defend other teams coming off back-to-backs. Gimme a break.

By the logic I've seen in this thread, Milwaukee is an NBDL team and that's why losing their best player is irrelevant. They're NBDL level since they couldn't handle Curry, and this was a win either way, so they should just forfeit before it starts. That's just following the logic that has been presented in this thread.

Its always bad to lose players. If your the Knicks it hurts. If your the opposing team it hurts them. I really dont see how anybody can assert one without conceding the other.
