This article sums up what most skeptics have been saying about Curry. No one has really doubted his offensive capabilities and him becoming a force but in order to be that Franchise Player, that true force in the paint, he has to play better defense. I will say he's been making some efforts of late to block shots.

One day he'll understand the importance of this. We have to give him time I guess he's a slow thinking/learner.

Curry is a slug. If he doesn't have the ball with a chance to score he has no interest in the other parts of the game.

This is the problem. Its NOT jumping ,its BOXING OUT!!
Look at every great rebounder they will tell you the same thing. If curry boxed out on the last play there is no tip in.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Dont ruin it for the haters. He led both teams in rebounds but once again they hate facts
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

You gotta want it. I don't care what his overall rebounding numbers were because half of the rebounds he got just carimmed right to him. He has a really bad habit of not pursuing rebounds and boxing out. He very rarely gets rebounds in traffic. Tonight it came back to bite this team in the butt.

When you watch David Lee and Curry around the basket they are totally different players. It's like Dr. Jekyell and Mr. Hyde.

I bet if no one looked at the box score and asked a fan who watched the game tonight, who had more rebounds tonight Curry or Lee, most people would probably say Lee. Because Lee gets rebounds that impact the game. If and when Curry gets rebounds, more times than not they are empty stat rebounds.

Am I arguing that he's not an improved player or am stating the fact that his interior defense is shotty?

More often than not, you seem to be looking for the holes in his game, which are admittedly significant, but before this season, most people, including myself, were viewing him as a bust. At this point, it's fair to say that is becoming one of the better NBA centers. Whether or not he can become a complete player remains to be seen. It's not illogical to think that if he can come this far offensively it's likely that he will improve the other facets of his game as well. In the meantime, there are going to be frustrating moments like the end of tonight's game.

He's an outstanding low post scorer but he's actually gotten worse at most aspects of the game over the past few years.

The the thing that worries me when it comes to Curry, is the fact that he probably doesn't even know that his lazy *** cost us the game by not boxing out.

I missed the 2nd half but what I noticed is that Curry forced a few possessions trying to struggle for position.

Marbury didn't get the ball to him enough, even in spite of Collins' good job.

He only had 7 FGA for Christ sake. 7.

Curry should be leading the team in shot attempts. I mean he played 40 minutes. He should've had DOUBle the shots.

He still needs to tone up, and ya, his focus on rebounding is atrocious. I actually think his defense is better, mostly b/c of his mobility, which is mostly b/c he's in better shape.

I STILL think the key is for him to get in better shape. That way he can atleast make some plays once and awhile.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

The Times had a great picture of how Curry didn't jump. He just did what he always does, waited for the ball to come to him. Robinson just jumped over him.
