Sixers Working On Webber Buyout

The Sixers have been working on a potential buyout of the remainder of Chris Webber's contract, according to a source.

Webber has missed nine out of the last 12 games.

He sat out Friday with flu like symptoms.

Just how far along discussions have gone on a buyout remain unclear. King did not respond to two e-mail messages from the Daily News last night and was unavailable for comment. [READ]

Good call on him going to the Nets guys. I also wouldn't be surprised to see him back in Sac-town either.

Let the Nets sign Webber's crusty ass. Hes so old and slow at this point that I dont even think hes worth the effort. And no to him coming to the Knicks. The reason why he shouldnt be getting Frye and Lees minutes is because they are both better players than him.

The nets were going to do a FIRE SALE earlier this week, from online reports, ( Meggette for Carter ) example, but not that Webber is available for the minimum, the Nets will get him !!!! Also ther is another internet rumor that they are after Jamal Magalore, can you imagine !!

C = MAGLORE
PF = WEBBER
SF = JEFFERSON
SG = CARTER
PG = KIDD

I think that team wins the atlantic. with jason kidd and a passer like webber, carter and jefferson will put up even more points. and magloire will put up 12 and 10 playing with kidd.

no thanks...Malik Rose and Cato are at the same level as Webber and they don't complain.

EDIT: I mean on the knicks. ON the nets, that makes them a contender.
