From my notebook: Speaking of defense, is anybody watching Jamal Crawford getting more involved on that end of the floor? He limited Sacramento’s leading scorer, Kevin Martin, to 12 points on Tuesday and held Portland’s up-and-coming rookie, Brandon Roy, to 14 points on Wednesday. Stephon Marbury was great. Admit it. He set a proper tone right from the beginning and followed through. It was a complete effort – 17 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and one turnover. In case anybody wants to see what rebuilding in the NBA is really like, watch a few more Portland games. That’s what happens when you blow a team up and rely on young players. New Yorkers could never be that patient. Let's go Knicks. That's amare
