CLIPPS trade BRAND, ODOM & PARKS / SPURS trade STEVE KERR & SMITH & MALIK ROSE & MANTEE BATEER / KNICKS trade SPREWELL & KT============================ CLIPPS receive ROSE, BATEER & KT / SPURS receive BRAND & SPREWELL / KNICKS receive ODOM, SMITH & KERR - SMITH & KERR for cap relief & ODOM to play SF. / CLIPPS do it because they can't sign all their fa's so they get players with smaller long contracts / SPURS do it because they need to show DUNCAN they are serious so he will resigh

spurs don't give any stars... they'd have to give up tony parker in the deal, and first rounders.

knicks get the fairest deal, for what they send out and what they get back.

clips get abused - giving up brand and odom, their 2 best stars, for malik rose and kt (solid, but not the stars they need), but it'd help keep their team together, a first rounder and some 2nd rounders would need to go the clippers' way.
