Every now and then it's nice to get a look at the Knicks stats and see how they compare statistically on a team basis to other teams on the league. It gives us a sense of what we're good at and what we need to upgrade. Here's the link I used to Yahoo differential stats which compare how one team does to others.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/byteam?cat1=Total&cat2=diff&conference=NBA&year=season_2006

Points -3.3
Shooting percentage +0.2
3 pt shooting percentage -5.4
Foul shooting attempts +1.6
Foul shooting percentage -5.4
Rebounds +4.6
Assists -1.7
Turnovers +2.3
Steals 0.0
Blocks -1.8
Fouls +1.8

There aren't a lot of surprises. The best thing we do is rebound. While our overall shooting percentage is average, we don't do well behind the 3 pt line. We could really use some outside shooting. The poor foul shooting % probably has a lot to do with Curry. Also, our passing leaves a lot to be desired.
