I believe I have to admit that team has heart. Regardless of anything else, they do have heart.

I still hate IT for the job he did as a GM, regarding the cap management and most of the trades, but he has them playing hard, most of them anyways.

They have to do something about the defense though, at this point I don't really get it. If they are going to play as hard as they play tonight, why the hell are guys not giving it their best when it comes to guarding their man?

Oh and Curry needs to learn how to block out, as does Lee and Frye. I really think blocking out is an effort thing, but once again, they played hard, but somehow failed to block out a million times. I understand they are playing zone, and you are susceptible to giving up offensive rebounds in a zone, but still, you have at least try to block out.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Who boxes out anymore? Nobody is doing it on any level. The only dude I see boxing out is balkman. I love that guy.

The knicks players still haven't grasp the total concept of team defense, but they are at the very least getting better at it. the guys are truly trying their best individually especially marbs.

The guys always had heart. I think a lot of it has to do with roles. Guys are getting comfortable and are just doing their things. Regardless of minutes. Marbs seems to have finally figured it out. Craw has it. Frye is waking up. Curry is growing up. David is a beast.

Freakin awesome!

Simrud,

I have to agree with one on this one. The one thing this Team does is NOT QUIT. They might get blown out but they don't quit. You have to give that much to IT.

When I woke up this morning, I was going to start a thread like this. I think we all have to acknowledge that this team has heart. That was a very gutsy win. The players and their coach deserve a lot of credit for it.
I have to admit this team has heart.
