The Knicks have:

C = Curry - Excellent scorer, developing skillz as a passer & shot blocker
PF/C = Frye - Good rebounder, blocks shots ( lately ), range out to 21ft
PF/SF = Lee - Excellent rebounder, runs the floor, great finisher
C/PF/SF/SG = Jefferies - Mr. everything, defend 4 positions, all the dirty work

C = Curry - $40 mil thru 2010-11 season age = 24
C/PF = Frye - $7.5 mil thru 2008-09 season age = 23
PF/SF = Lee - $4.1 mil thru 2008-09 season age = 23
C/PF/SF/SG = JJ - $30 mil thru 2010-11 season age = 25

I think that compares very well against the entire league when it comes to talent and cost for 4 players that fill the starting Center, Power Forward, Small Forward & reserve spots.

In 2yrs, the league will be trying to pry away Lee & Frye for us, wait and see !! In 2009, we they could look like:

Curry = 20pts 8rebs 2blks
Frye = 16pts 10rebs 2blks
Lee = 12pts 12rebs 1blk
JJ = 10pts 6rebs 4ast 2stls 1blk

i don't see Frye ever averaging double figures in rebounds or 2 blocks per game.

I dont know if I agree with all of resurections predictions, but are you saying that Frye is already peaked then? If not then where do you see him improving upon?

no, i didn't say he's peaked... i simply don't ever see him as being a great rebounding bigman... i projected his peak to be about 20 & 8 last season & i would still say that's about where i place him now, if he can manage to stay healthy over the longterm & get the minutes... & i would say 1.3 blocks per game is where i'd place him as well... he isn't a great instinctual shotblocker from what i can tell... he gets caught in the air on pump fakes far too often, or he'll just stand there w/his arms in the air on defense & not go for the fake at all, which won't earn you many shotblocks either... a guy like Camby is uncanny at timing his jumps & knowing when to jump to go for the block... i don't see these instincts in Frye at all.

I can say I agree with you there...20/8 sounds reasonable...who knows tho, he seems like a smart guy whos able to learn, and maybe in a few years he can improve his bounding.

The final stats don't mean anything. It's gonna be the production rates that are most important. The reason being that we have a fully stocked Frontcourt and that means the rebounding load will be shared. Tonight we didn't do a great job of keeping the Pistons off the boards, but we usually do much better.

The thing is that Isiah has been KILLED for his moves and it's gone unappreciated how good his moves have been in terms of our bigs. There are few groups that would be considered vastly better than what we have. Individuals, yes, but as a group ...

Excellent point...Nixluva. Factor in Balkman as an off the bench contributor and you have five bigs with very promising futures...
