for one second lets forget the fact that houston just signed a $100 million contract a few years ago. If it came down to Houston and Spree, who would you rather have on the knicks roster? Anytime before this year it would be spree hands down. houston has the ability to shoot lights out when he is going, and spree... well he got rejected by j williams and blew a few other layups against the lowly raptors. Spree's rate of decline could be much greater than houston, or it could be a bad year. It's obvious that neither are great players, but who would you rather have in a NYK jersey if you could only have one?

Yeah - Up until this season it would have been Spree hands down...(Except for after the Miami game winner)

I think it depends on what players you'd think we could surround either one of them with...and what condition you think their bodies will be in during the 2005-06 season...

Spree is a thoroughbred when he's at the 2 spot...If H20 got a temp injury, we'd see what Spree can do as a starting 2 guard...

But a shooter is a shooter...and Allan is that.

Tough call.

Houston is younger, though...It may just rest on that.

hey, you also have to base the decision on who will benifit the knicks in the long run. spree has had some good games of late but it is obvious that his skills are severely eroding. whereas houston, who has been a little inconsistent the past week, is doing better than last year. he is a shooter. they last well into their late 30's. do teams still leave dell curry open when he is forty? no they don't. spree has adjusted his game by being a complete player. he is dishing the ball more and playing aggressive defense. just because he is averaging 16 pts. a game does'nt mean he is not effective. but i still will trade him at the drop of a dime for a skillful frontcourt player, preferably a center. houston, i would like to keep because it is unquestionably his team now.
