Twas the night b4 Christmas
and all thru the city
peeps wondered about the Knicks
but there was no pity

No stockings were hanging
Oh, they didn't dare
They didn't deserve much
and the fans didn't care

Madison Square Garden faithful
were all snug in their beds
with visions of better play
dancing around in their heads

From out in the distance
there came such a clatter
Fans sprang awake
to see what was the matter

It was just a mirage
some posing and poise
Ye see the Knicks had started
to make a little noise

They're getting it together
we all started to perceive
but thru other disappointments
It so hard to believe

The holiday is a great time
for giving and wishing
please listen to Clyde
do more dishing and swishing

To the fans of this board
who are great peeps indeed
may you get some of what you want
and all of what you need.

So my humble holiday wish
is for the Knicks to get it right
I say Merry Christmas to all
