Will the chemistry continue? I think this is much needed since it is a back to back game and the Guards have logged heavy minutes lately.

Much needed is right. Besides the fatigue effect, if Jamal or Steph got in foul trouble, we could have been in serious trouble.
The aid will be short term though. The shorter rotation seems to seriously be helping us, and Q gets priority in the back court before finding room for Stevie.

Francis will come off the bench for now and likely the rest of the season. Really, Marbury and Crawford needed some backup help, so in the shortrun, this is probably a good thing.

Hopefuly Francis only sees spot minutes. It really sounded as if he needed some more time to let his knee heal up. Please zeke, keep him to less than 20 minutes.

Afterward, Francis sounded as if he needed more time off.

"It didn't feel that comfortable and I felt a step slow," he said. "I don't know, we'll have to see."

[...]

He said before the game that the knee felt good, but after the heat of a real game things changed. He had missed the previous eight games with tendinitis in the knee and wasn't supposed to come back for at least a week. Asked what he felt the prognosis was now, Francis didn't give a sunny picture.

"Of course it's never going to go away," he said, "but hopefully I can treat it and try to maintain it."

Isiah Thomas said before the game that Francis was probably only coming back for this one game on an emergency basis, and could still take more time off to rest the right knee afterward.

"If we weren't so undermanned, I don't think he would be coming back," the coach said.

I just think some guys think they still can do what they used to do and think that they are some how above the rest.

Isiah has to play the guys that produce and bring it. Jared was missed tonight and so was Q. Aside from those two balkman still needs to play. Nates shooting will be missed.

All signs point to Stevie. I think the knicks got flat when he got in against Philly. I think the team look to marbs and craw. Francis seems to want the same command but its like the guys energy level depletes when he is out there.

How can the knicks trade Stevie? I think he is the weak link.

2 weeks ago everybody wanted francis to be the starting point guard on this team and were calling for Marbury's head! Steph puts together 2 just 2 good games and now it Francis sucks! Give me a break! It's Steph that sucks and as long as he is around and the main catalyst for this team we are going nowhere!

look at Francis's situation since he came to New York! He has not been giving a chance! Marbury on the other hand has had years and look at the results! I hope Francis is healthy and Marbury has to rest his knees for about 10 games so everyone will see!

The only time Francis has gotten any significant playing time was while he had to be on the floor with Marbury and nobody can succeed in that situation!

Marbury's role on this team has to be reduced and Francis has to be incorporated MORE! It's so plain to see but everybody goes on this game to game thing where they switch up everything and a different guy sucks and needs to be gone!

There has been one constant the last 3 years and it is that Stephon Marbury is inconsistent and at best needs to be a 3rd or 4th option on a team! I don't know if he accepts that role here maybe he will in Miami! Either way if francis is healthy he should at least be given a chance to run the point without having to be on the court with Steph to see what he can do!

When I see Francis over dribbling I want him off the team. Don't care who else sucks and who doesn't. That's not the type of basketball we should play. Even when I see Nate do something like it occasionally I cringe. At least when he does it it's with high energy.
