This really hurts them. They are going to be forced to make a trade... maybe involving Marcus?

Big blow for the Nets but I think they'll get someone to replace Kristic. Jamaal Magloire will be on that team in less than a week. Guarenteed.

So, Jason Collins on PF, Miki Moore on C? And that leaves Josh Boone and Mile Ilic as backups? Ouch. But great 'Ouch' that is.

Too bad Jerome James has plantar fasciitis. We could have tried to pawn him off on them.

They are pathetic up front. There's really an opportunity out there for us. Our team is pretty unique and I think we pose a lot of matchup problems for teams in the East if we can continue playing with confidence and a head out there on the court.

I don't know - maybe it's better off we don't. Why add more salary? Sure Ray Allen or VC/RJ would be nice at the 2 but how much better would we be? Let's sit tight, let this team develop and wait for the awful contracts to come off the books. If our young guys really work on their games during the offseason and Isiah loads up on draft picks, this team will be fine.

I bet they make a run at Magliore or someone on Portland. Magliore would be a nice fit for them. He has been playing alot better recently.

THere is also RJ:
"Rest won't do it, Richard Jefferson said - making the option of surgery on his right ankle sound like a question of 'when,' not 'if.'"

"This is more of a chronic problem that needs to be fixed at some point," said Jefferson, who started a second straight game last night after sitting 11/2 games. "There's stuff floating around in my right ankle: little fragments, little pieces, little bone spurs. That's why it needs to be addressed. That's why it keeps flaring up.

"They didn't tell me surgery. They told me there are things that need to be addressed if they don't improve. Hopefully ... you can address it in the offseason. I'm not saying surgery or anything. It could be surgery, it could not be surgery."

Rod Thorn will not sit idly by and weep. He will come up with a serviceable player within a week in a trade.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

It seems the dark cloud may have blown across the river this season.

Now krstic going down may just open up a door for another player already on their roster as you guys talked about.

I don't wish anything bad like a acl tear on anyone, but how good did you feel when you first heard about this?!?!

Another thing, thank God for the knicks depth. They are already going through major injuries and still can be compeditive.

Go knicks!

The Nets are after PJ Brown. Look for the Bulls to give him to Nets for something like this.

New Jersey Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Bostjan Nachbar
6-9 SF from Slovenia (Foreign)
4.4 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 0.8 apg in 14.1 minutes
Jason Collins
7-0 C from Stanford
3.6 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 26.7 minutes
Incoming
P.J. Brown
6-11 PF from Louisiana Tech
9.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 31.8 minutes
Change in team outlook: +1.0 ppg, +0.8 rpg, and -0.6 apg.

Chicago Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
P.J. Brown
6-11 PF from Louisiana Tech
9.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 31.8 minutes
Incoming
Bostjan Nachbar
6-9 SF from Slovenia (Foreign)
4.4 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 0.8 apg in 14.1 minutes
Jason Collins
7-0 C from Stanford
3.6 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 26.7 minutes
Change in team outlook: -1.0 ppg, -0.8 rpg, and +0.6 apg.

Successful Scenario
Due to New Jersey and Chicago being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New Jersey and Chicago had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Trade ID
Every trade made by fans is allocated a unique Trade ID which you can share with friends and fellow basketball fans to allow them to see your trade scenario. The Trade ID for this scenario is 3550473.

Both Brown and Collins are ending contracts so it would be a wash. Bulls want a center like collins

Why, so we can take back more massive contracts like we've done in every other deal?

I wish we could trade them Nate Robinson and Cato for Marcus Williams and whatever other player in needed to make the trade work. It would solve our problem of a future PG prospect to replace Marbury in 2 years.
