He just has his best game of the season: 23pt, 6rbd, 4ast, 2stl...

No one ever said he wasn't talented... but hey, we have Balkman (and Francis) now...

If not for last year's fiasco and infighting; we would have had Ariza too.

And no Steve Francis; but more importantly a 3rd year Ariza to go along with our young nucleous....

But what's done is done.

Good for Ariza but the Magic lost...he's the kind of player who will have the occassional 20pt game, like Lee or Balkman because they get scappy baskets. Difference is Lee does it consistently and Balkman is closer to being a complete NBA player whereas Ariza has a long way to go. Like he needs to learn to dribble the ball etc

Ariza will be a good NBA player!

1000 shots a day Reezy! And dribble 'tween them cones for one hour a day, and you'll be fine!

if we could have had Ariza still- and still got Jeffries & Balkman- then we could have made a nice package this year and included them. Now- with Francis- we have no way to move him, it seems.

I don't see Isaih going after Jeffries if we still had Ariza on this team; but Balkman still probably would've gotten drafted.

Who knows...Isiah might have tried to get Marcus Williams first; then Balkman.

Of course this is all hypotheitical discussion....

if the Magic had a good GM they would trade him for an established star.

Can anyone think of one

I'd rather have Ariza than Francis even if they made the same salary

Good for Ariza, but Balkman is still better than him now IMO and assuming Balkman puts the work in on his game, he has more potential than Ariza overall. The kid is a jumpshot away from stardom.

Nice line for reezy. Of course, if we were still with us you just know the general sentiment (right or wrong) would have been that it was just one flukey outbreak amidst a season where he STILL couldn't dribble (did he not work on his game this summer or what?). Grass is always greener. Just imagine what we'd all be saying about Curry if he went on his recent tear while still playing for the Bulls.

Ariza would still be a senior in college at this point. When we drafted him he was about as raw as any player going into the NBA. There's still good upside there, though he clearly is a little too deficient in some important skills (shooting/dribbling) to be considered a real high potential player.

i want the record to show that i predicted this kind of performance from reezy.

unfortunately i predicted it as his *average* performance.
