Knicks outrebounded Chicago 57 to 36

Lee with his 4th straight 14 rebound game
12 rebs from Frye in 28 minutes of action
9 from Balkman also in 28 minutes
Malik/Cato/Jerome combined for 10 in 21 minutes

Sure Eddy Curry only got 6, but this is a prime example that it is perfectly fine for our Center to not have glossy rebounding stats. EC got 20pts and completely changed the focus of Chicago's Defense.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

It's also why Frye and Lee need to start at foward.

Frye and Lee should start. It was funny seeing Chicago double teaming EC when he didnt even have the ball. Since when is the 4 time dpoy need so much help? Curry wasnt even sharp. Neither were our lob passes. Just shows how much a post game opens up every one else. Marbs missed 3 wide open kick outs from Curry but I like that Marbs was working the post game by refeeding the post instead of going away from it.

Why was it so hard for Larry genius Brown to get Curry involved? He talked about stealing plays from the Chicago Bulls for Eddy. Where were the lob passes last year? We had no creativity.

He did. He was in that absolute power phase.

Another reason why Jamal should run the point more often. That and the reduced gunning. :)

I really like the ball in Jcraws hands when it comes time to feed the post.

Curry and Frye are both improving their rebounding. I think the early foul trouble effected EC a little tonight, but he showed secure hands on the 6 he got. We're seeing the 3 young bigs take a big step, and that's why it's been so fun lately.

In the middle of the 3rd quarter, Curry didn't have a lot of points, but it felt like he was dominating the game. The entire Bulls defense totally geared around stopping him to no avail. At that point, it felt like he was dominating to the tune of a 30 pt game... then the announces said he only had 13! It's weird how perceptions are. His numbers were solid, but his impact on the game was much greater than what appeared on the box score.

I think Curry scored either 9 or 11 in the 3rd. Its not how much he scores. Its the fact that a dominant post game changes everything for the other teams defense. They were doubling him even when he didnt have the ball. When he went out for a couple of minutes later after a lame foul the offense struggled. Frye is wide open with curry in there. I love it!

The fact that Curry has played this well, for this long of a stretch is the promising thing. Combine that with inspired play by Lee, Frye & Balk (all Isiah draftees)..

It's games like this that "almost" allow me to find forgiveness for not protecting our picks.

What is great is in the 5 games since the 11 game streak ended he still has averaged 17-18 points per game.

Oh man, did you see Maliks passes, the way he lobs the ball it looks like he is trying to shoot it. Curry has to save it and then come back down. Your lobbing to EC not VC.

Malik is usually a pretty good passer. Tonight just was not his night in many ways. The worst was Jerome who threw a lob 6 feet off the ground that may have hit sweets in the head if he didnt catch it, lol

I thought marbs was really doing his thing tonight as well.

Knicks are developing a nice little formula. Marbs has morphed back to his old self, curry is simply making the game easier for everyone, frye is pulling out that extra rebounder to the perimeter and lee, balkma, Q and Jared are getting the boards.

Craw is still out of control but when he settles down like tonight he is crazy effective and lethal.

Could the knicks be turning the corner?
