Pat Croce, the eccentric former owner of the Sixers, was on WFAN radio in New York with Joe Benigno on Wednesday talking about Allen Iverson.

Croce claimed he talked to Knicks owner James Dolan about buying the Knicks, but said Dolan expressed no interest in selling the team.

Croce is a nut but he was a damn good owner when he was with the 76ers. He's a fan of the game and also was with quite a wealthy group so money would not be an issue.

Too bad Uncle Jim Beam wasn't interested.

Yeah, Croce is a HUGE headcase but IIRC, the Sixers went to the finals under his watch and he does know his basketball.

Let's hope Dolan gets a clue soon that he just needs to cut the check on stop interfering.

Maybe he, P Diddy and others can team up to buy the Knicks. I doubt it. Dolan's making too much most likely to even think about selling the team or changing the direction of the team sadly.

man i love croce he has trumendous passion for the game.....i got excited wen i read the title but was sad wen doaln was not intrested to sell the team
