Did anyone see it on TV?He destroyed a 100k camera and didnt get any
of his friends tickets for the game because he said he was so focused.
Glad the Knicks sent him back to hicktown with his head between....

THAT TOTALLY MADE MY DAY. I think Artest is big cry baby. A crazy one at that. I was nice to see the Knicks beat another quality team. Throwing stuff is inexcusable. We just have trouble with these scrub Boston's and Wizards type games.

They slapped him down pretty hard. Now he cant even play in their rematch against the knicks thats coming up.He really blew it,they
are going to treat him like a red headed step-child every time he comes to the garden from now on.

Artest has a few screws loose. I remember a year or so ago he got in trouble for beating on his girl friend because he played poorly.

What a jerk, Im a pro at breaking things when angry (ie after Pat's missed finger roll) but when youre mad like that, layy off of the
expensive electronics!

i really do not understand stu jackson. yeah, artest did do the dumb thing and premeditated an attack on the camera but how can willis, who THREW a punch get suspended one game? artest is suspended three? did'nt shaq throw a punch in phoenix this weekend and he had no suspensions? we can say all we want about rod thorn being hard with punishment. at least he was fair and stern. i think stu is a little baffled with his job. and believe me, it will get worse as the season progress.

Just as a punch can hurt someone an object thrown can hurt someone. If you saw him throw the monitor then he could have hurt someone very seriously especially someone who is not associated with the league which could have resulted in legal actions. Thats why Stu was harder on him than other inncidents. He needs anger management class. As far as Shaq is concerned the lakers get special treatment thats just the way it is with Phil Jackson coached teams. It was like that for the Bulls and its like that with the Lakers. Sad but true.

Also, a thrown punch with not much damage done to the recipient is bad, but causes no damage. Destroying MSG network's very expensive property is a punishable offense in court. MSG could take Artest to court. MSG could sue the NBA, the Pacers, and Artest. Obviously, MSG having a relationship with the NBA, they know the NBA will see it their way.

If NBA players get anything less than a harsh punishment for destroying someone else's property while in uniform, representing the NBA, then it could set a precedent where other players break stuff. The NBA would start getting hit with bills and lawsuits they don't need.

Furthermore, if a thrown punch connected on someone and broke a nose or a jawbone, rest assured the suspension would be greater than 3 games.

The difference is in the damage done. Property is an extension of the person. To deface private property is tantamount to assault in my book, the degree of which is based on the value of the property. The lens alone on that camera was about 60K. Hopefully, he's learned his lesson.

Let me follow that up by saying that I admire his drive and passion for winning. But, as others before him have shown, you can have an unstoppable drive for winning and not be a psychopath. You can be demanding without being destructive. He needs to learn to keep the intensity where it belongs, and that when a game is over, it's over, time to think about the next game.

with that being said, who would you'all rather have on your team today (contract withstanding), Artest or Houston? Artest in a heartbeat for me. Give me heart and desire all day long, any time.
