Sprewell Spotted Having Dinner With Three T-Wolves
20th December, 2006 - 8:53 am
Pioneer Press -
Latrell Sprewell has said very little following the 2004-2005 season, which saw him turn down a three-year $21 million offer from the Timberwolves.

He apparently had dinner last week with former teammates Kevin Garnett, Trenton Hassell and Troy Hudson when the Timberwolves were in Milwaukee.

"He's doing great," Hudson told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "Spree's in great spirits. He looks like he could play 48 minutes."

Except, Sprewell is apparently done with the NBA. "He just said he's enjoying his time off," Hudson said. [READ]

They forgot to mention how Spree's children have not had anything to eat for months and that this group was spotted eating at the flea market. Also, Hudson was misquoted. "He's looking real thin," Hudson told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "Spree's begging for money outside Comissioner Stern's office. He looks like he could play 4 minutes this season. Someone please think of the children."
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

He should just swallow his pride and come back. Why waste you last remaining years as an athelete sitting at home when you could be making $2-$4 million a year. Spree is the postchild for the exact wrong way to get a new contract from your team.

i highly doubt Dolan would want to bring Spree back after he acted like a moron that night at the garden & disrespected him.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

he is spending his time with his family and despite his comments about feeding his kids, I applaud him for being content with the wealth he has.

I am surprised that as a competitor, he hasn't gotten the urge to come back. If I were him, I would look to get in shape and sign before deadlines with a team on the brink.

Clearly, his only concern was the money. Otherwise, he would return.
