Pick back, yes. Ricky Davis, hell no.

Frye + Malik for the Bulls revoking their right to swap picks... that would be the deal. They're not going to give us their pick outright, though.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

If you can get Oden, then you HAVE to make that move. But if we make that trade and then either cut Davis or trade him for say, another late pick, then I'm jumping with Euphoria.

I figure Ricky davis is worth a pick and an ending contract at the trade deadline.

Frye and Malik Rose to Chicago

our pick back from Chicago to NY

you really think Chicago would give up those swap rights for Frye & Malik?

Boy, you are really down on Frye (4 blocks against Denver) Solace!

So we trade away 2 players and all we get back is the right to keep our own pick?

Seriously you think that is a good trade? Aren't you putting a little too much faith in this unnamed future pick?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Remember the pick is pot luck--they want to win now-adding Frye and Rose will help them NOW. I see other players like Branden Wright Kevin Durant Joakim Noah Billy Walker who we could use far more than Frye even if Oden was gone. That wouldnt take to much--just start balkman and nate at guard for 40 minutes:) and conserve curry @ 25 minutes Get a lot of PT to Big game:)

i'll give up Frye, Nate AND Malik for those swap rights back... & i've always liked Ricky Davis, as boneheaded of a player as he used to be... i think he gets it now & he's much more under control... God knows what he'd turn into here in this circus environment though, but i'm fine w/giving him a shot... he'd add some much needed perimeter D & length at the SG position.

Ricky Davis is redundant. Another player who needs the ball in his hands to be effective, past character issues,(although appears to have turned a new leaf), doesn't play a lick of D, and has the potential to showboat.

I'll pass

Now if we're talking waiving Marbury then sure.

the swap rights is what we're after here... Ricky Davis is just filler that i think could be of some use for this team.

I keep hearing this--this is not a viable option--actually is ludicrous and absurd. The player has 50mm$ on his contract and just put up a 31 point 8 assist night. Does that mean he is the right player or a winning player for the Knicks? Not likely--but who in their right mind would just drop that loot out the window? No one who knows money. Can Marbury put together a string of nice games like last night--yes he has that ability AND if he can show the goods over a 7-10 game period--I mean 17-18 points 8 assists 45% he can become the flavor of the day for someone else. OR if he does stay here we continue to morph him into a secondary player. But no sane person isnt going to waive marbury it makes 0 business sense.

Yes, I'm down on Frye, and no the Bulls are not going to give up a VERY high draft pick (and their shot at Greg Oden, unless he says he's not coming out) for Channing Frye. Comparing Frye to the 2007 draft class, I would consider Frye somewhere around a 15-20 pick in that draft. Yes, I think there could be at least 14 players who come out who could be perceived better than Frye. However, the Bulls *might* be willing to revoke the right to swap, and therefore the trade could wind up looking something like this when all is said and done:

Frye, Malik + #20 pick (Bulls pick back to them) for #4 pick to Knicks (Knicks get their pick back) (and Ricky Davis in Briggs scenario)

Overall, that's a fair trade.

Well, I guess if you believe that the runner-up for rookie of the year is 15-20 in his draft class I guess that is a good trade.
