At about 6:00 tonight one of the local news shows ran a clip of before the fight showing Isiah talking from the sidelines mometns before the fight... there's no audio, but you can CLEARLY see him saying with that dumb*** smile, "don't go in the paint. Better stay out the paint". There's no doubt about what he's saying.

I didn't pick up what channel it was (my wife was running the clicker), but they said they'd have Isola on during their midnight sports recap show tonight

Sheridan last night on ESPN NEWS said that Isiah gave 'Melo this warning too.

So there it is. You gotta see this tape. It's proof that Isiah sends Collins in to be his thug. Here's Collins, a rookie. Of course he's gonna do what his coach tells him to do ...

I'm thinking it was the cbs local news where I saw this ...

I don't think it was shown during the MSG broadcast of the game, but this local news channel that I saw had video footage of Isiah blabbering away. They made it sound like they'd combed through various feeds or whatever, however they get footage of these events

If he did say this, I highly doubt that he wanted something so hard as a flagrant 2 foul. He may just wanted a hard regular foul (or at most a flagrant 1).

So you're saying he ordered a flagrant 2 foul? Whether he's classy or not (and I certainly don't think he is) why would he want something that would lead to suspensions of his key players?

Isiah is the only coach so arrogant and blatant enough to get caught for bringing in garbage time players to use them as thugs.

Why is this man allowed to keep a job in the NBA again?

Great question. The kind of question most logical people would have. Yet, you still see a solid minority (at least 25%) right here on this board who defend his every idiotic move. I guess if you can explain that, you could also explain how he still has a job. Neither one makes sense to me.

Because he's doing such a great job.

Come on, admit it. Aren't you extremely proud to be a fan of this current team?

So what if Thomas sent MArdy to be his thug. I remember Phil Jackson sending in Jo jo English to be his thug and sure enough a brawl broke out.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!!!!!!!!

Its true

I have the game on tape - i went back and watched it... on the free throw by Camby right before the Collins foul.. the MSG camera is on Isiah for mad long.. and you CLEARLY see him say "Dont go in the paint, it wouldent be a good idea, im just letting you know" CLEAR as ****in day... u can even kinda hear it..

This puts the whole fight in a whole new perspective, and Melos reaction and actions in a completely different light.

Melo was not just reacting to the foul.. He was reacting to Isiah boasting to him basically saying "watch out, we about to get dirty"

No wonder Melo was mad..........

Ok Isiah.. you caught... ur snake moves are not classy.. they are not apreciated.. that was LOW.. wow

I think Isiah is going to get a big suspension.. he deserves it honestly, its clear as day, the NBA is going to see it too... wow

Bottom line is anyone who thinks its okay for the coach to tell a player to go in and commit a dangerous foul on another player is in for a surprise. If there's enough evidence that Isiah did such, which it looks like there is, Isiah will get a suspension. Anyone who thinks such behavior is okay is flat out wrong. Such behavior doesn't belong in the NBA.

Even if Isiah instructed a player to foul, how do you know that he wanted a "dangerous" foul?

You don't, and neither does anyone else.

I saw that too, but you got it wrong. Isiah is clearly saying something like: "Hey, you wanna see Nate Robinson go apesh!t? Just watch this....
