Thomas' player, Collins, took a sucker-punch to the face from Mello Yello – and there’s no way he didn’t see it, the whole Garden saw it – but Thomas went to mid-court to meet with Anthony. He put his arm around him and the two spoke briefly. Thomas later revealed that he explained to Anthony that he and Marcus Camby shouldn’t have been on the floor up by 19 points that late in the game. Karl should have been ticked off that the opposing coach was talking to one of his players, never mind that the opposing coach was trying to blame it all on him.

Meanwhile, Collins is back at the Knicks bench, where Thomas should have been with his arm around his first-round draft pick. Showing that solidarity the Knicks talked about after the game with such bravado. And giving his appreciation for his determination not to give up another fast-break dunk to the high-flying Smith. Instead, Collins had to see Thomas hugging the guy who just suckered him in the jaw.

Very classy.

This pissed me off more than anything that happened last night. Your player just gets sucker punched... and your face to face with the man that did it.. and your saying "you shouldent be in the game" WTF.. who ****in cares... how about "Ill ****in kill you young boy dont sucker punch my players" something more along those lines would have been appropriate lol.

After Collins loyally did the dirt isiah asked.. and took a sucker punch for it, to see Isiah love-handling the opponent instead of coming to your defense... not good.

Agreed, especially after Isiah seems to have told Collins to make the foul in the first place. Snake.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

U can't assume Isiah told him to do it...And why shouldn't Isiah speak to Anthony??

So you want the Coach and General Manager of the Knicks organization to do, what?..Speak to him harshly and continue to incite the incident further...What would your thread be about today if he did that?..How do you think the NBA would react to that?

I am not a Zeke hater but the ****ing guy should each punch Melo out or show his displeasure in some way. Dont have to go Jared Jeffries on him, but don't be civil with someone that just popped your boy.

Holl,

We have seen Balkman also make statements on the court. This is what rookies do.

Your slant towards not hating does cloud your view at times.

That was a hard foul and Isiah spoke his displeasure thru Mardy.

Isiah huggy antics are old already. The kissy kissy Magic thing was ok in its day, but I swear this guy comes off soft at times. His mannerisms and popcorn thing is just not the kinda intense coach persona that gets it done.

Sure if the team is doing ok that stuff is all well and good but the knicks suck these days and Isiah gets no breaks. thats how it works anywhere.

Isiah sucks until proven otherwise.

Give him a pissed off look and walk away. dont give him any looks and walk away. don't fraternize with the enemy.

Unfortunately, Isiah is the toughest guy on this team...Isiah has always been tough and dirty at times...We tried having a coach who was major A** hole already...

Isiah wants melo to be his friend, he didn't want to bash him publicly.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I'm telling you, I saw the tape of Isiah warning the nuggets to stay out of the paint. It's clear as day. You'll see it, it's just starting to get around.

To Isiah, Collins owes him his entry into the league and so he can tell the kid to do whatever, ruin his reputation and all that ... To Isiah, Collins is just a kid he can use.

Isiah don't play ball for the knicks. There is isiah the player, but there was isiah the snake. HE grew up to be a lousey executive and an average coach.

Larry was a major a-hole, but he wins. Exepte for one thing. Isiah was his boss. Larry succeeds except for Isiah.

Holl, you make way too many excuses for him. Why?
