But for the consequences, I might agree.

Mardy's fould was an ordinary flagrant foul. There are probably 100 or 200 like it each year.

JR was not air born. It was a hard 2 handed foul that hit his shoulders with no follow through and didn't touch his head.

I can find more and you know you can find more but I just don't have the time cause you will not change you opinion about this. Notice the difference in how Wade reacted and how Smith reacted.

There is no defending Mardy on this and it's extremely hard to defend Nate. Mardy didn't grab Smith by the shoulders. He had him around the NECK and slammed him to the floor. That could have ended Smith's career or worse and I don't blame JR Smith for getting pissed off and getting in Mardy's face. Nate Robinson probably played peacemaker for about 2 seconds and then he probably either got intimidated or provoked in a heartbeat and he completely lost it. What Carmelo did was inexcusable and running away after that was cowardly.
Jefferies should have continued playing peacemaker, but he didn't and I have to say thank God Marcus Camby tripped him to the floor, or else it would have gotton a lot uglier. Jefferies was gonna pummel the crap out of Anthony before he got to the Nugget bench. Also, Kudos for Marbury, Crawford and Curry for staying out of it and kudos to Lee and Frye for not lowering themselves to Nates and Mardy's and Jefferies level. Amazing how people praise our players for this. It doesn't spark us. We played like shyat last night. We're gonna get killed with suspensions, we look that much worse as a franchise (And the Nuggets look bad too) and both teams are officially on David Sterns s**tlist now. If Isiah really did tell Mardy to do that, he should have been fired on the spot. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

Posted by Andrew:Posted by Andrew: Andrew, I paid particular attention to Nate. It looked like for about 1 seconds, he tried to play an extremely angry peacemaker and then he let his emotions completely take over him. He added feul to the fire. The one guy I don't blame one bit is JR Smith. He got in Mardy's face and that was it and Nate escelated it. It's hard to blame someone for WANTING to kill someone after he felt he was trying to be killed. Being grabbed by the neck and slammed to the floor is not funny business. It was everyone else's job to separate the 2. Mardy should be suspended for the rest of the year and possibly Nate too. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

Posted by Andrew: Okay, he was about to jump, but both Mardy's hands went under JR's chin - it was a total clothesline. And it was clearly premeditated. It was a dirty play. ¿ △ ?

Maybe if we stop losing games by 20 points we wont need to worry about the showboating and wont have to construct devious means of retribution.
When will this franchise get out of the gutter and get back to basketball? |

What Melo did doesn't absolve Mardy and Nate for starting and then escalating this brawl. If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
