I asked that question in the game thread when he first came back. It's pretty confusing but the reason may be he can't cover 3 other guys on the court.

If he played the best offensive player and Q the second best, for example, for some reason like the 5th option on the other team's offense seems to go off for 30 points. The Zone sort of balances that and from his position he can sort of play both the man in his zone and kinda keep an eye on the man on the wing. I know it's a messed up explanation but it's the best I can come up with.

Ways to mask a bad teams flaws:

Uptempo offense - check "push offense"

Zone Defense for long stretches - check

Full Court traps - check

So far none of it has resulted in wins.
