No one had a good came last night but he really didn't play well. I don't think anything positive happened when he was running the point. He needs more seasoning before we call for him to get more playing time.

mardy reminds me of frank his rookie season. total deer in the headlights look on his face. he's also the oldest looking rookie i've ever seen. frank was way better tho and more skilled.

if we were drafting a pg, we should've taken marcus williams. with the way the season is playing out, steph benched in 2nd halfs, francis home, and nate not developing any way whatsoever, there's no doubt in my mind marcus would've played MAJOR minutes for us.

I remember someone defending the Balkman pick by saying that Phoenix was looking at him or something like that.

So...there's no way we could have taken Marcus Williams and then Balkman in the 2nd.

No. Way.

Mardy Collins is a big defensive guard. Who cares if Marcus Williams turns into a great pass first PG.

Don't doubt Dolan and Isiah. Ever.
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

How many times do I have to say this? Mardy Collins is a marginal NBA player at best. He should be extremely grateful for the 3 year guaranteed contract that Isiah gave him because he'll be playing in Europe after it ends.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I think you have to give Collins at least a year and a summer to work on his jumpshot before you can make in conclusions about whether he can or cannot play PG in this league. I know he can be an effective defensive player and he looks to have a good dribble. He just needs to develop some offense, starting with a jumpshot. We will have a better idea by the next summer league whether Collins has any potential as a future PG for this team.
