The starters from last night should remain together. Isiah already indicated that Frye would be better served coming off the bench. Depending on the teams we play, we may have to make subs early on but at least this team can start building on last nights win and create an identity.

Pg: Marbury, Collins
Sg: Crawford, Nate
Sf: Q-Rich, Balkman
Pf: Jefferies,Lee, Rose
C: Curry, Frye, JJ

With Francis out, Collins should get some more burn. The starters are also our 4th Quater line-up which I like. The 2nd unit of kids is very exciting bc that group knows each other very well and will provide a great spark. One of the best and most exciting benches in the NBA.

Let's run this rotation for awhile and see what happens.

i think JJ at the 4 is a bad idea... he's going to be pushed around by bigger more physical PF's... it can work against small teams like the Hawks, but sooner or later it'll be exposed by bigger teams... i like him much better at the 3.

This should not be our starters.

Our starters should be....

C- Curry
PF- Lee
SF- Jeffries
SG- QRich
PG- Marbury(since Isiah will always start him)

uh, why should they stay together? because they beat the hawks? let's see more than one game, then decide. also, i thought IT said frye wouldn't lose his starting job because of injury.

i think when channing gets back we'll see marb/Q/JJ/frye/curry as the starting five.

i like what i've seen of JJeff so far. i've been looking forward to seeing him at his natural SF and Q at the SG all season. ideally lee would be the four, i agree frye may be better off the bench, but the above is what i expect.

I think moving Jeffries to the PF kind of defeats the purpose of having him. By playing him at the 3 now all of a sudden you give size to your defense. You make the zone difficult to attack with the bigger players. You give your team at least some sort of advantage. But by moving him to the four I think we eliminate this obvious advantage. Now we become small in the frontcourt and Q now has to be a monster on the boards. I'll have to see how it shakes out but that's the way I see it right now.

I like your line-up. I prefer Lee at the PF because I think he is a better compliment to Curry. And I like Frye's offense at the Center/PF spot for the second team. I agree that marbs will probably have to start. This is dangerous terriotry though because starting him or benching him has potential to fracture this team. Especially if we don't go on a winning streak.

I think Jeffries has the best chance of guarding opposing PFs so I'll give this unit a chance. As much as I like Lee I don't think he'd be a starter on a championship calibur team, at least not at this stage of his career but he is a hell of a player to have come off your bench against 2nd stingers. I also don't know if Q is quick enough to play SG. So after thinking about these things I think this lineup can work. Not having Francis in there reallly helps

I was also thinking about Q-Rich not being able to guard the 2 as well. Q-Rich has the same body type as Mark Aguirre (albeit the NBA was different back then) but Q-Rich is a strong rebounder and guards most 3's (including Lebron) well.

Right now, at this pace, Q will reach LJ status if we reach the playoffs and he continues his stupendous contributions.

It should be two fun games with Jefferies guarding Carlos Boozer and Jermaine O'Neal in the coming games hahahahaha.

Since when can this guy guard a power forward please when has he ever done this? When he was with Washington he exclusively played the 2 and 3 (though I don't know why with that jump shot).

Jeffries has guarded every player from Yao, Jermaine O'neal to Chauncey Billups.

I think he can handle guarding a power forward.

when he was at washington, he did not exclusively play the 2 and 3 on defense.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare
