if we still have the extra roster spot I think this kid is worth a look. He would thrive on the three ball with teams triple teaming Curry in the post now.

He just signed in the NBDL

I always liked Gerry, he was a pretty good college player and had a knack for hitting big shots. I wouldn't be adverse to signing him for the last roster spot and seeing what he has to offer.

Gerry was super clutch but unfortunately he really wasn't a good shooter if you look at his numbers. Doesn't bring much else either. I'd pass.

Don't think he could beat anyone off the dribble. Too small to get his shot off screens.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Sorry, but obviously you didn't see Gerry play much, as numbers don'talways tell everything. McNamara took a lot of crazy/ "bail out"/difficult type shots because nobody else had the balls to take them. When G-Mac has the time and his confidence is right, he can light it up better than most. And saying he doesn't bring anything else to the table is just flat wrong. He can pass, he gets steals and he plays his ass off.

This comes via Wikopedia: His career statistics rank among the greats in Syracuse's school history. He finished fourth in points scored (2099), first in minutes played (4781), second in steals (258), third in assists (648), first in three-point shots made (400) and attempted (1131), and first in career free-throw percentage (89.1%).

In 63 career Big East games McNamara set conference records for three-pointers made (183) and career free-throw percentage (91.7%). His 400 career three-pointers rank sixth all-time in NCAA history.

You don't get those numbers by not "bringing much else" to the table. I don't know if he can play in this league or not but if the Matt Carrol's and Jason Kipono's of the world can, I don't see why Gerry can't.
"It was good," Curry said. "I killed Malik, Jerome. The usual suspects. It felt good."

Try convincing other gm's that gerry is a good guy to run an NBA team.

If he's good enough he will be in the association
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Seen Gerry play a few dozen times. He is great, I've got a bit of a man crush on him, but he won't make it in the NBA. He is basically Nate without the hops or duability.

He is fast enough to get by people, don't doubt that, but he can't finish over bigs.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
